The staff here are absolutely brilliant. We met a lovely young man who was on his first day in the job. He was so nice and thank us for our kindness and support to him on his first day. Definitely be returning to see how he got on.

Pillar House

27/10/2025: Good pints well organised staff.
18/10/2025: I could get no room in the shearwater hotel, they recommend pillar house bar to me, I just wanted a bed to sleep in, nothing fancy. It's in the town , and a few steps down from the pub itself. Absolutely did the job for me, the bed is massive and ensuite small but it's only me. 50 euro for the night no breakfast, that's grand And no hurry up in the morning.
