Talbots Seafood Bar in Béal an mhuirthead

Went here for dinner. The food was good and we had a good time here as well. The decorations weren't our style but they suited the vibe of the restaurant and the hotel and we could appreciate it. Service took a bit long unfortunately, we noticed it with other tables as well. I also felt a bit unwelcome because of one waitress in particular. We don't think waiting personnel is obligated to be extra friendly, but this waitress almost gave us the feeling that we were annoying when we ordered stuff or even when we remarked that our fish and chips arrived without the tartar sauce mentioned on the menu.

Good food, good service, good vibes. And dogs are allowed inside. 😃 Cash payment preferred.

We expected better. Tourist trap. My partner didn't understand his dish: fried chicken with spicy tomato sauce, curry sauce, and raw onions. The garlic bread was a disaster—not warm, not toasty, just plain bad. The burger was okay, but nothing special. €52 for all that? Ouch! The service was decent, though.

Wonderful restaurant with great service and very tasty food. We had the club sandwich and the seafood chowder - both excellent. The atmosphere is cozy and very well suited for families. Quaint little details can be discovered, which makes the place unique and very charming.

Amazing food staff very friendly value for money

I came for the chowder and gluten-free options and decided for the seafood chowder pie and was delicious!! Chowder was so taste and creamy. Loved it. Also, loads of gluten-free options on menu. Friendly staffs and lovely atmosphere. Definitely recommend it.

This is not a seafood bar (for lunch anyway). There's only chowder on the menu, the fish pie is chowder with mash. And fish and chips. The chowder is all cream and veg, no flavour. Steak sandwich is ciabatta, cheese and some onions, no flavour. Staff are very nice though, but would not be rushing back.
