05/11/2025: Popped in for a drink, was warmly welcomed by Padraig shaking my hand and enquired as to the reason for visiting Belmullet. On explaining my circumstances he and several customers provided me with information regarding relatives past and present. The Guiness was perfect. Can't wait to return.

13/04/2026: Stayed for one night while attending a wedding. The hotel is in a very convenient location, close to shops, pubs and local amenities, which made getting around easy. The room was clean, tidy and well maintained, with a comfortable bed and everything we needed for a short stay. The staff were excellent throughout our stay, friendly, professional and really helpful. Emma in particular, went out of her way to assist after I made a mistake with my booking, which was really appreciated.

26/10/2025: They work hard in The Western Strand ~ We wern't guests in the hotel so we came in 3 minutes before close (8:30pm kitchen closed that Thursday) and there was no issue being seated and menued (shows great kitchen discipline, although try not to do what we did, spare the chef)! They do an open mic on Thursdays which sounded great and added fantastic atmosphere. The food was delicious and the waitress was delightfully friendly. The presentation of the food was tops. Very happy, will be returning for dinner again in the future.

06/08/2025: Stayed over last week for a few days, and I honestly think I couldn’t have stayed anywhere better in the EU for the same price. The room was basic and what you’d expect, the bed was very comfortable and the sower and toilet worked as they should. The coffee and tea facilities were great, and plenty of room to hang your clothes etc.for a single room it was excellent. The pub downstairs was excellent too for food and entertainment on most nights, location is the best in the town. Take it from me you’ll love your stay here, the owners and staff couldn’t do any more for you if they tried. So for the few moaners in the review section you really need to give your head a wobble.
