Stopped here for lunch. Highly recommended - especially the fish cakes which seem to be the specialty. Also dog friendly

Stayed here with a group of family and friends while golfing at Carne. The rooms were fabulous and the staff where super friendly and efficient. The seafood in the resutarant was delcious. Fantastic fish cakes. The staff were also vert helpful in returning a forgotten item to ,e Would highly recommend staying at the Talbot

On a recent visit to Blacksod North Mayo fifteen of us booked dinner at the Talbot.We were given copies of the menu on route from reception. The food ,service and atmosphere was first class.I will let friends and family visiting the area know.

Stayed a couple of nights in the Talbot while golfing at Carne, lovely clean room, delicious and plentyful meals both morning and evening but the best part has to be some of the friendliest staff I've ever met, we were on first name terms with some of them which speaks for itself

03/08/2026: An amazing pub, such a great atmosphere. Loved it
15/07/2026: Passed this place when we were heading to our hotel for a break before dinner. From the outside it didn't seem that cosy, but the reviews were incredibly good so we wanted to give it a try. Glad we did. At first it felt a bit intimidating to go in because it seemed like there were a lot of locals as well and we felt like intruders, but the owner/bartender came by our table for a quick chat, which made us feel right at home. The same bartender played some songs on the guitar as well, which was a nice surprise. Strong recommend!
