Tannery in Dungarvan

Thank you for exceeding our expectations to celebrate a family event this weekend. The staff were fantastic dealing with such a large group and private dining room was lovely. The food (Sunday lunch menu) was excellent, everyone loved each dish they chose, raved about the oysters and crab creme brulee, trout and hake in particular. Thank you, all made the day very special and we loved it.

One of the most enjoyable dining experiences we have had! Every bite was delicious, and every detail of the meal was perfection! The staff were warm and friendly and very attentive throughout. We were recommended this restaurant by a number of people but it still managed to exceed our expectations. Divine!

Beautiful restaurant with creative wonderful dishes. My wife loved her oysters, my burrata and tomato salad was excellent. I really enjoyed the plaice, and I normally love fennel, although I'm not convinced they worked well together. Service was great

Decided on a last minute trip to Dungarvan and while enroute decided to try and book an overnight stay. I rang the Tannery and spoke with Valerie who had the most welcoming warm voice. Booked a room and decided to book dinner also. The food was absolutely sensational from start to finish. So well presented and bursting with flavours. I think the pasta starter I had is probably one of my favourite starters ever. I had beef for my main which was just melt in the mouth. Topped off with a scrumptious chocolate dessert.The service was wonderful and I was surprised that with such young staff they were so professional and informative.Grace our waitress was excellent. The manager Daniel also fantastic. Our room was spotless and such a comfortable bed. Breakfast was beautiful with lovely choices and the staff again very attentive nothing was too much. I am looking forward to returning with friends to taste the lunch menu which again looks delicious. A five star experience for sure. Bridget

Had a lovely stay there this month. Food beat expectations and service is really good. The guest rooms are basic but very well kept and decorated. Rooms are in a lovely townhouse a short distance from the harbour area and numerous nice bars and restaurants. I would highly recommend The Tannery for a nice break.

We stayed two nights in the townhouse and loved it. The bed and pillows were very comfy. Beautiful bathroom with a bath and separate shower. The staff in both the townhouse and the restaurant were extremely nice but professional in equal measures. We experienced breakfast and dinner. Our dinner was one of the nicest we had in a long time. Dungarvan is a perfect base for exploring the area too. We will definitely return to the Tannery!

Excellent restaurant with very nice and professional service. Great food, very atmospheric place! Fresh seafood, future hundreds and wonderful desserts. We recommend it with all our hearts.

had a lovely stay in the townhouse 🏠 which is located right next to the water! the dinner was fabulous - for mains, we ordered the ribeye steak (& mash) and grilled seafood which was delicious, and the chocolate mousse was amazing too! the service was great, the staff were very professional and welcoming.

The Tannery restaurant and townhouse - where we had dinner and stayed for a night - fell below our expectations, as we were attracted by the venue's long established strong reputation. For dinner, our starters - cod brandade and crab brulee - were quite disappointing, with not much cod or crab apparent! Mains were better (halibut and ribeye steak) although both attracted supplements of €8 and €10 respectively over our dinner package. My wife sent back her chocolate mousse dessert which resembled melted chocolate. All in all a bit of a let down for €160 excluding wine.

We stayed in The Tannery for 2 nights in March and I have to say it was absolutely lovely. The staff are just fantastic, the room was newly refurbished which was beautifully done and the breakfast was just amazing. We had a lovely welcome when we arrived and were shown to our room, which I have to say not a lot of small hotels do this! I would absolutely highly recommend this hotel / restaurant for any future bookings - one of which I will be doing. Fantastic!!!!!!
