Taste of Italy in Arklow

Genuine Italian food..perfect!!

We visited Taste of Italy for the first time yesterday to try their breakfast menu, and it was so good that we had to come back again today for dinner! Everything we ate was 10/10. The tomato soup was rich and full of flavor, and the ricotta pasta was absolutely delicious. You can really tell they use top-quality ingredients. The atmosphere was great, and the owners were lovely too. Can’t recommend this place enough. We are looking forward to our next visit!

We had absolutely the most divine experience here! Although our large (US tourist) group arrived when this intimate restaurant was already full, they accommodated us by setting up chairs and tables in the sun by the river. We had several different desserts, all of which were absolutely amazing, as well as several pasta dishes, including the best bolognese I've ever had anywhere, including in Italy. The sauce is incredible and the pasta noodles are absolutely out of this world. The proprietress is a lovely, friendly Italian who honestly must be a gift from the heavens. This is a *must visit* if you are in Arklow.

The owners are so lovely and accommodating. We always get the tomatoe soup, and let me tell ya, soup may sound dull but it is the most banging tomatoe soup I've ever had. It comes loaded with parmesan cheese, pesto, and fresh foccacia bread. The fresh made pasta and ravioli is incredible. I've never had a bad meal here, the prices are an absolute bargain for the quality! Worth every penny, we're never dissapointed. The coffee and desserts are amazing too.

Absolute gem of a restaurant. We stopped off for lunch on a Wednesday and were blown away. This is a little 10 seater (indoor) and a couple of seats outside restaurant. The food is all homemade and usually made on the day and is simply amazing. I'm not exaggerating when I say this could be one of the best Italian restaurants in Ireland. Go when you can. 5*

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Authentic Italian Food in Arklow?! Absolutely Incredible! We initially stopped by this charming café just for a coffee, as we often pass by and were curious. But one whiff of the incredible aromas coming from the kitchen, and we knew we had to stay for lunch—and boy, are we glad we did! The food here is nothing short of spectacular. Every bite was a revelation, bursting with authentic Italian flavours that transported us straight to the heart of Italy. From the perfectly al dente pasta to the rich, savoury sauces, every dish was crafted with care and passion. I can confidently say that the food here is on par with the best Italian restaurants back home in Dublin, if not better! The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the owners were incredibly friendly and attentive, making us feel right at home. It’s clear that this place is a labor of love, and it shows in every detail. If you’re in Arklow, do yourself a favour and stop by. Whether it’s for a coffee, a meal, or both, you won’t be disappointed. We’ll definitely be back! 🍝🇮🇹

What a special place this is! I love coffee, and it's SO GOOD here. I ordered a Florence sandwich. The bread was so fresh and the filling generous. Tasty from the first bite to the last. My wife and Son had the apple cake clearly homemade and very tasty. The menu is small, but when it's cooked from scratch, that's the trade-off! But then it's all so good.

We had a beautiful family New Year's Eve! Lovely Italian couple run the place. Limited menu for a reason as everything is homemade traditional Italian.
