Great tasty food in an amazing place

There was an average crowd size, yet waited many minutes to have a bowl of soup delivered to my table.

Very nice little place. The tea selection is large. Snacks and lunch are offered, as well as desserts. The staff is very attentive and friendly. I felt very comfortable.

This lovely little cafe is just what you can ask for after a good walk from the glencar waterfalls. The place serves a huge play area for kids and outside seating arrangements as well on a good sunny day. There is a usual wait of 10 to 20 minutes over the weekends and would be much more over a bank holiday weekend. Be assure that the wait is worth the money as the food is absolutely great and tasty. We had ordered the chicken and pesto panini and veggie sandwich with cappuccino and to top it up we had a chocolate ice-cream as well.

Excellent place with really nice coffee, cakes, etc. Beautiful views of Ben Bulben. Prices are good and the staff are very helpful. There was a friendly and very old crow outside that begs for food and likes to have a conversation with you. Probably an old local who's reincarnated as he liked the cakes so much. Definitely worth a visit.

The location of this cafe is wonderful, amazing views of the mountains. We had the BLTs which were not great, the tomatoes were cut up so small as was the bacon. This made the sandwiches difficult to eat as everything fell out. Try Shells cafe in Strandhill for a BLT. Larger Bacon, Big slices tomato. We ate outside, it was empty, however there were so many dirty tables which spoilt the experience. It was odd watching staff bring people out coffees and then walk past dirty tables without clearing them. Easy to rectify. The range of cold drinks was very limited other than coke, concentrated orange juice. There are so many better "Artisan" cold drinks available. With a few tweaks, this place could be so much better.

Lovely spot beside Gencar Waterfall. Homemade scones, tray bakes and cakes. Freshly made sandwiches, salads, quiche and soup. Outdoor seating with spectacular views of Glencar lake and valley. Short walk from Devil’s Chimney. Free parking but does get very busy especially at weekends and holidays. Friendly and polite staff. Always a pleasure to visit.

Great price/value balance, delicious food and amazing views from inside and outside of the lake. A perfect stop when visiting the waterfall or even just going to enjoy a nice lunch or tea with great views.
