Terra Madre in Dublin

Siamo stati a cena presso questo ristorante a ferragosto, dopo giorni nei pub irlandesi a mangiare hamburger, ed è stato un paradiso. Staff super gentile e cordiale e cibo di ottima qualità.

Terra Madre is an absolute gem! From the moment you walk in, the warm, intimate atmosphere makes you feel like you’ve stepped into a true Italian trattoria. The staff are all Italian, and their genuine hospitality shines through, adding to the authenticity of both the food and the experience. The homemade pasta is outstanding — the ravioli was delicate and flavorful, and the wild boar was perfectly prepared, rich, and satisfying. The wine list is thoughtfully curated, featuring selections from various regions of Italy, giving you a chance to explore the country’s diverse flavors right from your table. It’s a small restaurant, which makes it all the more special and personal. Every bite, every sip, and every interaction felt like a taste of Italy itself. If you’re looking for an authentic dining experience in Dublin, Terra Madre should be at the top of your list.

The restaurant location is very central but underground. We sat outside near the stairs which was a bit weird considering people wait to enter the restaurant standing right next to you. The food was OK, but I will mention I'm vegetarian and maybe the non vegetarian dishes are better. I suggest ordering an indoors table for better atmosphere.

Great food, cool vibe, small cellar only a few tables - excellent service - wine and food were great (be prepared for a set menu with a small selection, but food was good and I would make a reservation. There are not many tables.)

Great Italian setting with a sea view 🌊 The ice cream at the end of the meal was creamy and just the right amount, a perfect finish.

An authentic Italian experience! If you are not used to Irish politeness and people being weirdly kind for no apparent reason - this is the place to go! The guy serving the food is to the point, and gives you a very true sense of Italy. The food is delicious and you can feel it’s made of good ingredients. The card is minimalistic yet attaractive. The order was mixed and I was a little bit scared of approaching the serving person but they just exchanged it for the right dish. In a very Italian way - grunged under the nose and took a plate with an eye roll. I could also pay with card without any problems.

Excellent Italian spot in the heart of Dublin. A great selection of vegetarian options, wines and desserts! The waiter was so kind and helpful.

I would go here everyday if I could! I recommend this restaurant to everyone I know it’s a must see in Dublin. It’s very cosy only a couple of tables, so a great date night spot. I would recommend booking ahead because they were turning people away at the door. The service was amazing they let us finish our bottle of wine even though they were closing. The dishes were gorgeous, we had the beef to start and the gnocchi ( which I would highly recommend) and the spicy tagliatelle. We finished the night with the panna cotta. I wish I had room for more tbh. Can’t wait to come back here

This little hidden restaurant was definitely worth a visit! Aside from the cozy ambiance, the food was delicious, topped off by the complimentary water and bread baskets. Authentic Italian and highly recommended (:
