Very inexpensive food with a fantastic taste! Service was quick and the workers were very friendly and polite. I had a sweet chili wrap, and it greatly exceeded expectations.

We had just arrived in Kilkenny and were both hungry and cold - a sausage roll was on both my and my wife's mind. We stopped here by chance - our luck was clearly in. The sausage rolls were to die for. Strongly recommended

Langton's

05/05/2025: Stopped by this hotel for a quick bite and ordered a flat white and the Boston prawn cocktail. The coffee was good, but the prawn cocktail was just average. It was a busy weekend, so the atmosphere was a bit noisy. Overall, a decent experience but nothing particularly memorable.
20/04/2025: Alice wonderland inspired restaurant with it's cozy cafe seemingly secret like the world of wonderland. The interior design of John Street Tea & wine is an ideal spot for wine/coffee catch-up with family or dress nicely with your girls for tea and cakes. The brunch was amazing from 'The works' to the Boiled egg florentine with a tomato salsa that cuts and balance flavour along side the potatoes and pudding spinach. Staff are very attentive, kind, caring and very accommendating. Rooms here are cozy and lovely. Food very fairly priced around 10 - 15 euro for brunch meals with portion size that perfectly filling and leaving room for something sweet. I'll definitely be coming back here for (1) stay (2) coffee and (3) chats. P.S keep an eye out for Alice and Wonderland Easter eggs like stop watches and cards. As for environment, chill jazz and medium chatter is nice calming

Hackett's Bar at Seán Byrne's

13/02/2025: 5 stars - Old-school charm, top-notch beer, and a staff that makes you feel at home! Hackett's Bar at Seán Byrne's is a true gem! This old-school pub exudes a warm and welcoming atmosphere that immediately made us feel like regulars. The beer was absolutely fantastic - perfectly poured and ice-cold - just what we needed after a long day of exploring Ireland. But what truly sets Hackett's apart is the incredible staff. They were friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond to ensure we had a great time. Their genuine hospitality made our visit even more enjoyable. We had such a blast at Hackett's, laughing, chatting, and soaking in the authentic Irish pub vibe. It's the perfect place to unwind with friends and experience the true spirit of Ireland. We can't wait to return to Hackett's on our next trip to Ireland. It's a must-visit for anyone looking for a memorable pub experience!
