Thali in Cork

My first time trying Nepalese food, and let me tell you I was Not Disappointed At All!! The duck curry is literally to die for, definitely the Nicest one I have ever had, chicken tikka starters were absolutely amazing, and the garlic and coriander naan breads are just utterly mouthwatering!! The service was class, seated and seen to in very quick succession, and the staff were more than helpful, clearing empty plates and refilling water jugs very quickly and very attentive to detail! I am Definitely going again to try more of this Fabulous food 😍😍😍😍

Wonderful throughout. The food is flavored with perfection. I for one, love spicy food but usually, indian restaurants cater to nonindians so the food isnt as spicy as it typically would be. But here, there isnt any flaws and the spice is perfect with the balance of flavors throughout. Service is also great nor are you rushed but you are paid attention to. They do get busy but reservations isnt required.

Very good and tasty food, in my case it was lentils with curry and they were delicious! Attentive, friendly and polite staff. We found it by chance and were pleasantly surprised!

Had a lovely experience at thali. The food is full of flavour with a great spice range. There was a good mix of choices for both starters and the main course, from creamy curries to more lighter vegetarian dishes making the food suitable for everyone. Great service and a very relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. Would highly recommend.

Ducked into Thali seeking a quiet, quality place to grab lunch on St. Patrick’s Day. There was literally one 2-top available. Had the lamb kebab, veg samosas, butter naan, and a mango lassi. AMAZING! I’m regretful not asking my servers name he was so kind and helped me wrap my leftovers (thank you!!).

The food here is actually quite good compared to many other places, and we did enjoy the taste. However, the experience we had with seating was disappointing. When my friend and I arrived, we were told the restaurant was full and that the empty tables we could see were reserved. While we were still standing outside looking for another place to go, a couple walked in and asked for a table as a walk-in and were seated immediately at one of those tables removing the reserved tag. Since it was my friend’s birthday, I didn’t want to create a scene at the door. Instead, my friend called the restaurant and made a reservation next time, and only then were we able to dine in. I can’t say for certain what the reason was, but the situation did feel uncomfortable and a bit unfair as they were walking in like us. On the positive side, the food tasted good, although the portion size could be better considering the price.

My partner and I discovered Thali by chance while wandering through Cork City ,the gorgeous aromas coming from inside completely lured us in. From the moment we walked through the door, the service was friendly and welcoming. The food was outstanding, full of rich, authentic flavours, and the portions were generous for the price. It’s rare to find such great quality and value together. A really wonderful dining experience from start to finish.
