Discovered this local gem on the way back to Adare from the Cliffs of Moher. Welcoming atmosphere, friendly staff and delicious, plentiful food. Highly recommend.

Lovely food, waiters, ambience and view! Couldn't complain except, perhaps the price of deserts, but then again, hardly ever eat out, and wouldn't know if €8 is now normal. The main courses were authentic, hearty, and well priced. Good 00 cider too! They were extremely busy when we called in, but still very calm, and jolly. I would make a small detour to come back again!

First time here on a Easter Sunday very busy .but we were given a table quickly food .omg just Amazing next time I'm in Co Clara I shall be back ..Highly Recommend this place 👌

Have been here a few times, and it has never disappointed. The food quality is excellent, and the service is always great. All the staff are lovely and make an effort to chat with the customers. The fillet steak is 10/10, and definitely get the onion rings with it! This place is a must for anyone visiting Clare!

My husband and I went to Abbey Tavern for lunch last Thursday. We had a beautiful meal. The girls who looked after us were so pleasant and helpful. Look forward to my next visit which hopefully will be soon. Paid a 2nd visit to Abbey Tavern yesterday. What can I say beautiful meal service excellent and staff very friendly . See ye soon again.

Excellent service and the quality of the food is amazing 👏

Went for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. I had the pork belly (8.95) as starter & lamb shank (23.25) for main. My partner had the seafood chowder (9.85)for starter & trio of fish (21.95) for the main. The pork belly was 3 small cubes, same size as an ice cube, covered in sauce, now the sauce was delicious but only 3 small pieces of pork!. Lamb shank was nice. My partner had a trio of fish....the smallest piece of cod & salmon that I ever saw on a plate and 3 prawns, we were shocked, I wouldn't dream of giving anyone such a small piece of fish and then 1 serving of veg between 2 of us !!! and we could see at other tables 2 servings for 2 main courses. Had been to this restaurant twice before and the fact that it was nice was the reason we returned but we wont be going back. We paid a total of €70.75 for the dinner including 1 glass of wine. Too expensive for what we got.
