The Abbey Tavern in Cork

Probably the best pub in Cork. Great Guinness and Beamish. Music is amazing on Friday and Saturday night.

No food, but you can buy a takeaway and have it in the pub. Best pub in Cork for music and craic !

Entering Cork in the evening looking for a place to grab a beer and eat, we came across this gem. Entered to ask about food and was invited to go up the block and get take away and bring it in. Grabbed a surprisingly yummy pizza and spicy potatoes and headed back to a crowded bar invitingly lit by candles in whiskey bottles and cheery lights throughout the three-roomed pub. Found a spot and felt welcomed by the obvious tourist like us, college students, local elderly men all enjoying each other's company while the tunes played Motown hits, 80s English new wave and 70s punk. This place had all the vibes. Tried my first Beamish here, loved this strong stout. and my husband had a faithful Guinness.

Cozy pub near the cathedral. All tables are lit with candles and there is a little terrace.

Very cozy spot. Great place to catch up with people and the background music is always great.
