The Bailey pub and rooms in Athlone put the very Ritz Carlton to shame! The impeccable drinks, staff, banter, and grub are supreme to say the least. If you want a proper Irish experience in a tasty friendly pub, this is thee place. You must not miss the potato's skins ..divine! Plus, the whiskey and pints are the best in all of the Emerald Isle.... in my humble opinion. Do it! And tell our new friends Collin, Shayna, and O'Shea that we said HOWDY! Get you some. Had a pretty good dinner had the hamburger. Printed room bed and breakfast on the website it makes it sound like breakfast is included for the price it wasn't. Only coffee but the best thing about it was they had construction underneath my room until past 10:00 p.m. and then thinking I'm getting complimentary breakfast for the price should have been included they had me wait until 11:00 because of problems with the kitchen to tell me that it's not included. One sign says opens at 10:00 a.m. one sign says 10:30 they're saying 11:00

A simple room and perfectly ok for one night. Friendly staff and the pub is perfectly located. We had both lunch and dinner and it tasted excellent.

The Bailey Bar & Lounge is a very well-located pub, ideal for a night out with friends or as a couple. The atmosphere is warm and friendly, with a tasteful decor that invites relaxation. The selection of beers is impressive, ranging from classics to local discoveries, perfect for amateurs and connoisseurs alike. As for the food, the dishes are tasty, well-presented, and served hot. The menu offers a nice variety that will please all tastes. The service is fast, courteous, and attentive. An excellent place to discover and recommend without hesitation.

Le Bailey Bar & Lounge est un pub très bien situé, idéal pour une sortie entre amis ou en couple. L’ambiance y est chaleureuse et conviviale, avec un décor soigné qui invite à la détente. Le choix de bières est impressionnant, allant des classiques aux découvertes locales, parfait pour les amateurs comme les connaisseurs. Côté nourriture, les plats sont savoureux, bien présentés et servis chauds. Le menu propose une belle variété qui plaira à tous les goûts. Le service est rapide, courtois et attentionné. Dissapointing it says food till 9pm but we ordered food at 8 but was told food finished at 8, all menu and menu boards say 9pm ,about 6 more people were told the same, menus shd show the correct time, atmosphere nice music in the background, lovely young girl behind the bar, tuesday 15th April, managed very well on her own

We popped in for Lunch 4/1/25 and it was delicious! The bar maid was very friendly and helpful as were the locals! Food was delicious, drinks were cold and arrived promptly- overall we had a class wee lunch!! Thank you from your Co Armagh visitors
