The Bailey Bar in Athlone

We've been here twice so far, and they have the best burger we've ever had in our lives! Actually, all of us had the stack'em high burger, and we are more than happy. The chips are lovely as well. Everything if freshly made and super tasty. I'd come all the way back from Berlin to Athlone just for that burger, tbh. Give it a try! You won't be disappointed! Keep up the good work! Update, been there four times now. Burger as good as ever and tried the pie as well, which was delicious.

Only had lunch here, but did it twice during our time in Athlone. They had a really easy to navigate gluten free menu that made it the best!! The wait staff was super friendly and poured the Orchard thieves draft ciders perfectly! The goat cheese platter is a MUST!

We didn’t stay in the room but had heard this was the best food in the area. Thank you random Irishman “you were right!” Atmosphere was pleasant and busy. Definitely an older building; they used a dumbwaiter to bring the food from the kitchen. Everything we ate or drank was delicious and filling. My wife tried different ciders and I continued my Irish whiskey drinking! If the rooms are as good as the food then next time we’ll stay here for a day!

Great spot in Athlone . Excellent food and friendly staff. My family and I had a wonderful time during the Scottish weekend, amazing

We tried this pub to eat with our 7 year old daughter, really good, the waitresses and waiters were really nice, I recommend if you want to visit Athlone and take a meal break & Guinness

A driver advised us to visit here instead of places closer to the castle. All the food was amazing. The curry, bread, and fish were all excellent.

Best food I've had in Ireland in 4 days. A must try

Its had been a while since we last visited this fine Restaurant and when coming back from visting friends decided to take a detour to 'The Bailey' .We were so glad we did ...We were warmly greeted by a Friendly staff member who took us to our seats ,gave us the extensive menu ,took our drinks order (which arrived promptly ) and returned after a short time to take our Order. we both had the succulent Prime Select 10oz Striploin Steak and both were just delicious & cooked to perfection(thank you Chef). we had such a lovely few hours there chatting with some of the Regulars and Friendly staff .Will definitely return ..Highly Recommend ...

I cannot rate The Bailey as B&B as we were only there for pints and food. Their roast is amazing and all their food looked incredible. If you want traditional Irish food, The Bailey is one of the places to go.
