Delicious breakfast with sweets and the tastiest coffee.

Amazing food, delicious coffee. Had brunch on the patio here and can’t recommend it enough. Toasties were absolutely delicious! The only weird part is that random bits of trash were floating down onto us from above. Like a chip bag, face mask, etc. It was partly annoying, but mostly hilarious.

Food was incredible but I’m a bit disappointed with the staff, they didn’t acknowledge when I try to order for a long time and were walking around me not making any eye contact or saying that they are coming… they are washing all the dishes by hand which I feel like could be a potential problem for keeping the hygiene standards and the toilet isn’t working… there wasn’t any toilet paper either and the food took a long time to come out but there only seemed to be one chef doing the food.

We were recommended a few places to try for breakfast. We chose The Bakehouse. A lovely, clean, welcoming place. The staff were very friendly. I wanted a traditional Irish breakfast, unfortunately they did their own take which was more like a Dublin coddle with a fried egg on the top. They called it an Irish skittle. It was ok. But not what I was looking for. My wife had pancakes which she said was delicious.

We appreciated finding a good sweet breakfast, the prices were a little excessive: €12.50 for 3 pancakes and I'm not even talking about the croissants but everything was good.

We were on the lookout for somewhere for breakfast with an outdoor seating area and chose the Bakehouse as it looked busy and we were able to sit outside. Good menu to choose from, friendly and efficient staff so overall good service. A few negatives for us though - the outdoor tables looked grubby as did the floor with a few cigarette butts and napkin on the floor, and we both commented that if outdoor seating is available things like this really should be kept on top of! I wasn’t overly hungry so just ordered one slice of toast which was fine, my partner had a sausage sandwich which he said was lovely but was both shocked and disappointed there was no brown sauce as an accompaniment. He did say the sausages were very tasty though! Good location next to the river, we’d probably revisit if we were in the area but wouldn’t necessarily make a special trip!

Used Bakehouse to cater for a conference in my place of work and the food went down a real treat. We had pastries, fruit bowls and granola delivered in the morning and sandwiches delivered for lunch and everything was delicious. Absolutely would recommend to people looking to cater workplace events in Dublin.

Really enjoyed the beet salad and daughter got the vegetarian breakfast bowl that also was good. Highly recommend.
