Nice pub, good food, fair prices and live music, worth it. The kitchen closes at 9pm

June 2025. OK, this is a tourist place, but it's historic with nice atmosphere. We came for pints only. The cavernous inside is for dinner patrons. We sat in the forecourt and enjoyed our pints.

Located about a 10-15 minute walk from Temple Bar, the Brazen Head is one of Dublin's oldest pubs (founded in the 12th century in 1198).
A pleasant pub to sit down and enjoy a good Guinness or Smithwick's, the establishment has a small outdoor courtyard, which is a plus!
Responsive service and friendly staff.

Fun atmosphere that is very popular and crowded. We visited twice at lunchtime and arrived before 11 AM when they opened because we didn’t have a booking. Their Guinness, seafood chowder, and brown bread was excellent! Service was good. Fun atmosphere.Tables are VERY close together and it can get very loud depending on who you’re next to lol.

The oldest bar in Dublin is still a great place to visit as they draw near to their first Millennium of service. Great music, cold beer, great food!

This is a sensational Pub fantastic location superb food excellent drink and super service. Had a couple of drinks here the other night that was music on and the band were excellent. Were there with a couple of friends and we got chatting to a couple of locals and some tours who found a place absolutely sensational. I’d highly recommend this on a to-do list when visiting Dublin City well done to all the staff keep up the good work and look forward to coming back for a few pints.
