Cillian is an excellent barman and has great interaction with both customers and colleagues. The atmosphere was very relaxed and jolly with interjections of harmless banter while staff moved with purpose. I was well impressed.

Amazing staff. A bit expensive but the portions were super big. I think they should make the portions smaller which offer cheaper food options. 😬 I hate wasting food but I had to leave half of it.

Nice family restaurant. We were 4 adults and 1 child (free kids menu on Sundays). Vegan burguer was huge! The chicken curry was delicious and came with a huge side of rice and an Indian bread. The carvery portions were amazing and the gravy was delicious! Desserts were nice as well! The floor staff didn’t gave us the drink menu, but there was a huge variety of drinks as well, you can see many alcoholic beverage streamers at the bar, and they have bottles as well. We will be back soon.

After the Cork Half marathon we came for a feed. We were greeted by lovely staff behind the bar, one gentleman charged my phone for a few minutes, another catalonia gentleman gave great food recommendations (that were on point) and a lovely lady took my order. It was a quiet afternoon with lots of welcoming and friendly faces. The food was 10/10 and a lovely atmosphere sitting in the sun.

Fabulous! The menu choice is perfect. We had salad for starters and mains with a lovely wine selection. Everything fresh, well done to the chef. Staff v friendly considering how busy they were. 5 stars

02/08/2025: Interesting museum. It's very small and contains a lot of exhibits – unfortunately, many of them without any explanations. For example, at the entrance, there are many photos on a screen, but the information is lacking. Overall, the museum could use at least twice as much space, and the exhibition needs to be made much more user-friendly. It's very noisy in the space (a former church). The café is nice, with delicious cakes and friendly staff. There's a small garden with a pond at the back.
25/07/2025: Didn't actually visit the museum just went in for lunch. The cafe is excellent. I did walk many of the mining trails and the information plaques were very good.
