The Briar Rose in Cork

Amazing staff. A bit expensive but the portions were super big. I think they should make the portions smaller which offer cheaper food options. 😬 I hate wasting food but I had to leave half of it.

Nice family restaurant. We were 4 adults and 1 child (free kids menu on Sundays). Vegan burguer was huge! The chicken curry was delicious and came with a huge side of rice and an Indian bread. The carvery portions were amazing and the gravy was delicious! Desserts were nice as well! The floor staff didn’t gave us the drink menu, but there was a huge variety of drinks as well, you can see many alcoholic beverage streamers at the bar, and they have bottles as well. We will be back soon.

After the Cork Half marathon we came for a feed. We were greeted by lovely staff behind the bar, one gentleman charged my phone for a few minutes, another catalonia gentleman gave great food recommendations (that were on point) and a lovely lady took my order. It was a quiet afternoon with lots of welcoming and friendly faces. The food was 10/10 and a lovely atmosphere sitting in the sun.

Popped into Briar Rose the other day and had such a good time. The vibe was chill and welcoming, but what really made it was the service—shoutout to Tomi who looked after us! Super friendly, on the ball, and just made everything really easy and relaxed. Made a great recommendation too. Will definitely be back soon!
