The Bridge 1859 in Dublin

Love this place, been coming here for years, especially the seafood chowder.

It’s always a wonderful experience. I recently had the opportunity to celebrate a reception at The Bridge with colleagues, and the entire staff was absolutely outstanding. Everything was amazing — from the atmosphere to the service, everything was truly exceptional. It’s the perfect place to host a reception, with delicious food and a wide range of beers and cocktails. But what truly makes this place special is the staff, who provide exceptional customer service ! Delighted to go and try the best blt sandwich in Ireland !

This was a very nice place to eat with really good food and HUGE portions. The service and atmosphere were fine but not quite worthy of 5 stars. They did offer more than Jim Beam in the bourbon category so that was a bonus if you’re a bourbon fan. Not a lot of that here in Ireland based on my experience but it’s Ireland. Drink the whisky and a pint of Guinness and you’ll soon forget about what ya don’t have.

We were not ready for how massive the portions are, so be careful! But everything was delicious, the servers were amazing (shout out to Camilla) and their local beers were just fantastic. I found a new favourite spot.

The food was amazing and the service was high stand “Lucas” provided a great job. Place is tidy and well organized in general amazing place to bring your family/ friends!

We had the absolute pleasure of dining at this phenomenal restaurant, and we’re still raving about it! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and a genuinely welcoming atmosphere that made us feel right at home—even thousands of miles away from the States. The environment strikes the perfect balance between cozy and lively, with a laid-back charm that invites you to settle in and enjoy every second. The service? Impeccable. Friendly, attentive, and incredibly helpful—especially Julio, who went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. We received fantastic drink suggestions that perfectly complemented our meal and made the whole experience even more memorable. Speaking of the meal… wow. We ordered the ribs and chicken dinner, and it was easily one of the best meals we’ve had in recent memory. The portions were huge—definitely come hungry—but not a single bite was wasted. The ribs were fall-off-the-bone tender, smoky and rich, while the chicken wings were juicy and crispy, perfectly seasoned, and cooked to perfection. Every bite was bursting with flavor, and it was clear that a lot of care went into the preparation. This is the kind of place you want to keep all to yourself—but it's just too good not to share. We can’t wait to tell everyone back home in America that this is a must-visit destination. If you're looking for a memorable meal with incredible food, stellar service, and a vibe that feels both special and down-to-earth, this place should be at the very top of your list.
