One of tje best culinary experiences I've had in a while. I always thought that the sister restaurant, market lane is the best, but this one is right up there if not better. Food is excellent and so extraordinary. The tastes, not your usual ones, are something that I'll be thinking for a long time after. Super noce and friendly staff. And no need to talk about the surrounding. Highly recommended!

We recently held lunch after a Christening in the Castle Cafe. The staff were very helpful beforehand and very attentive on the day. Food was delicious. We were given a section of the cafe to allow for buggies and highchairs. Really appreciated the helpfulness of the staff. Many thanks.

We had a lovely Sunday brunch here. The setting is stunning and the food was great. The experience was tainted slightly by the grumpy and rude man at the door who reprimanded us like school children when we arrived for not booking a specific seat for the 6 week old baby we had with us.

Dirigido por la gente del restaurante Market Lane favorito de la ciudad. Baj贸 para un almuerzo de cumplea帽os del momento de North Cork y no le decepcion贸. Amy nos sirvi贸 y ella era muy atento. Compartimos un plato turco y Mezze (liban茅s) para empezar. Luego 2 ensaladas de pollo, 2 panes planos de bistec y un s谩ndwich de tocino regado con rociadores de jengibre, cerveza Elbow Lane lager (tambi茅n elaborada por ellos) y cerveza de jengibre. Todas las comidas ten铆an una opini贸n ligeramente diferente de la que uno esperar铆a - lo que hizo un gran almuerzo.

Muy buen restaurante en un entorno muy agradable. Nos sentamos en el conservatorio (la habitaci贸n con el vidrio) que es muy luminoso y acogedor. Hay otra habitaci贸n, que en mi opini贸n es un poco oscuro y menos acogedor. Tuvimos una comida muy agradable; buena elecci贸n de entrantes, principales y desiertos y una buena elecci贸n de vino. El personal era muy amable y atento.

16/08/2025: We went on a team night out and the place and atmosphere of this place is class. It might look very small at the outside but very big on the inside.Their servers was very approachable and accommodating as well. Food was ok for me. I would say my expectations were a little bit not met. For a 30-40 euro steak, I would have expected that the steak is at least seasoned which was not. The sharing platter as well was a little bit small for me. I expected at least a couple of meats and more cheese on a meat and cheese board but as you can see on the picture that鈥檚 their sharing board and you can see on the menu how much that is. My teammates enjoyed their veggie board and they were delighted with the taste. Their desert was great as well. Overall still a good experience. Just get your wallets ready as food can be pricey.
