The Copper Still in Drumod

I had looked forward to a good steak and nice experience at the restaurant based on most reviews. My spouse and I were disappointed. The chicken wings (Thai chili) were exceptional. Very crispy. The steaks , one a full sirloin and the other a sandwich were a little tough and nothing special. We had to ask for steak knives (which we needed). There were lots of fried onions and musrooms. My dessert, the cheese cake with ice cream and chocolate sauce was very good. There was music ( Sunday evening) which was very good yet it was too loud and make it difficult to talk with table mates. Service was ok, but it is disappointing to have to ask for a steak knife. But it was loud and that made it difficult to talk to the server. I wouldn't put this restaurant on my regular rotation.

I love this place! The steaks here are some of the best I’ve ever had — juicy, flavorful, and generously sized. For just €29, you get a huge plate with a steak, fried onions, and potatoes. The portion is truly impressive and definitely worth the price. They also have a great selection of cocktails to choose from. The dining area is spacious and has a wonderful atmosphere. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves a good steak.

The portions were generous and the food tasted good. They don’t have a huge variety of options, but this is our second time coming here and both visits have been consistently good. The gravy was especially generous, with plenty of it served on the meal.

Had a most pleasant experience visiting the Copper Still on Mothers day this year. We were returning from a trip to Enniskillen and had passed this premises on numerous occasions but were in a hurry home, luckily were had time to stop and check it out. We could see that it was quiet busy, given the day that it was , but on entering the restaurant/pub we were warmly greeted and a table was found to accommodate us very impressed as we hadn't made a booking and just walked in. My first impressions were that it was warm, clean and the staff we very friendly. We ordered a main which was served promptly and efficiently, I had the steak with onions and mushrooms and chips, my wife had battered fish of the day. All was served piping hot and freshly cooked, it was delicious to say the least. We both had deserts and coffee's and thoroughly enjoyed our meal. To sum it up, Great food served by dedicated friendly staff , management was ever present and directing this perfectly, warm and clean. I couldn't fault anything and would highly recommend a visit if you are passing and in fact we would book and drive back to it specially for the food. Well done all in the Copper still.

We always stop off here on our way to Ballyfarnon in Roscommon. Dromod is a lovely spot and the Copper Still excellent for lunch abd great value. Staff are always so pleasant. Highly recommend.

Quick and efficient service.Reasonably priced food. Noisy where we were seated. Not from the bar but from a loud and boisterous adult group who were very fond of using the f word in public.
