The Corner House in Cork

Went down for the sounds from a safe harbour festival and had a delicious pint of Beamish while enjoying live music

Went along for the trad session this evening supposedly from 6pm, hoping to play, but unfortunately it had been cancelled so no tunes fix for me. Not quite sure why- one or two other bemused musicians floating around. Nice enough pub otherwise though.

We tried several pubs in Cork and wanted to go to the Sin é, but since it was too full, we went into this one and precisely the Briars were going to play live and we stayed. From there it was our favorite pub. We went every day of our stay in Cork. The staff was very friendly and attentive, the place was very well decorated and pleasant, with Irish charm, the people were very much like us and above all the beer was delicious!! We drank Guinness and Murphy and we liked the Guinness the most and especially the Stag Rua and the Stag Ban from White Deer, specials. I recommend it to everyone who goes to Cork.

Not sure if they serve food, but the beer was great! The service was amazing and very friendly. The atmosphere was fantastic! with live music! exactly what you’d expect from an Irish pub in Ireland. It’s now officially my go-to pub every time I visit Cork.

Really happy to discover this fab pub on a recent trip to Cork. We visited twice, and found every one very friendly and helpful and the pub had a great energy and atmosphere. Great live music on our return in the evening after a quieter day time drink. A true find for music lovers
