The Dark Horse Bar & Kitchen in Athlone

Onion rings were way too thick, they were basically raw. The mozzarella sticks were delicious and the burger and chips was nice

Fab atmosphere l, fantastic staff, and great food, all the sports and pool tables available. O and the cocktails are great too

We where up From Dublin. Got the spicy wings.🍗 And 2 of the jack Daniels burgers.🍔🍔 Absolutely outstanding food. Guiness was tops too.🍺 Couldn't recommend enough

Super friendly and welcoming staff and we had about 4 different members deal with us We went on a Sunday so it was a slightly different menu but still plenty of tasty options I had the Guinness stew and it was full of meat Make sure to try the garlic sauce Plenty of TV showing the football with chairs or couches in front of them Highly recommend and would be back if in the area

We stopped on our way from Dublin to Galway to have an early dinner. We found a lovely place with friendly staff and some amazing food. Would return here in a heartbeat. Keep it up guys.

Absolutely fabulous. We eat here last night as a party of 5. Food was superb. We all had different dishes and clear plates all round. We were staying in a hotel and had eaten in hotel on the fri night paid a lot more for out meal which was nowhere near as good as Dark horse. I wish we'd eaten in the dark horse both nights. While in the Dark horse 3 different staff asked was everything ok. If I'm back to athlone I will definitely be eating here. Excellent food and service. Keep up the good work. Outstanding food.
