Absolutely fabulous. We eat here last night as a party of 5. Food was superb. We all had different dishes and clear plates all round. We were staying in a hotel and had eaten in hotel on the fri night paid a lot more for out meal which was nowhere near as good as Dark horse. I wish we'd eaten in the dark horse both nights. While in the Dark horse 3 different staff asked was everything ok. If I'm back to athlone I will definitely be eating here. Excellent food and service. Keep up the good work. Outstanding food.

Genuinely such a nice place with such nice staff and service. Very polite and friendly plus the whole time they were all full of energy Lost my lighter there and they kept it right on the bar incase I went back. Food and service overall were amazing I had a great time

Supermac's

23/11/2024: After an intense painting session at Elevate, where I’m currently working on a mural, hunger hit hard. I nipped across the road to Supermac’s in Athlone and was absolutely delighted with their fish and chips. The cod was perfectly cooked—crispy on the outside, flaky on the inside—and paired with fresh, golden chips. Just what I needed to recharge! The service was quick, and the staff were friendly, making the experience even better. If you're in Athlone, I highly recommend stopping by Supermac’s for a meal. And if you’re curious about the mural or my other work, just Google ‘Artist Shane Turner’ to check it out. You might just spot me at Elevate creating something new!
