Pub in old Buncrana railway station a bit outside the town centre Nice bar area inside , Bar built from a old boat and roof timbers like a upturned keel of a ship ,Real fire nice and cosy Pizza only and then only weekends Some reviews say it’s dog friendly but bar staff said dogs not allowed in bar only in outside area

Nice old converted railway ticket station bar. Large outdoor seating area. Even though next to seafront, no views. Great DJ knocking out the 80’s hits!

Cozy pub with a log fire. We just had a drink and enjoyed the live performance. Good beer selection and friendly service.

Hesitated about this place, seeing poor reviews some time back and no recent reviews at all. Which I now don't understand. The staff were warmly welcoming and attentive, pizza was at least as good as many I've eaten in more than 10 holidays in Italy. and the Guinness was outstanding. We were there on a Friday, clientele mostly local lads and lasses who obviously make this a regular date, enjoyed it so much we came back for more on Saturday evening, when it was rocking. We'd had our fill of tourist magnets in Dublin, drinks at empty-your-pocket prices, stodgy food at Michelin four-star rates. Here was the real thing, a crowd enjoying itself unselfconciously, booze and food that puts you in good spirits without breaking the bank. If I ever make it back to Buncrana this will be my first stop. Pizza is served only on weekends, I believe, but all kinds of other barfood - burgers, pulled pork rolls, you name it, is available from a vendor behind the inn and you're welcome to bring it inside to have with your drinks.

Oscars

26/09/2025: This place is great for coeliacs, I ordered the chicken & bacon Caesar salad without the croutons. The waitress then told me they could make it with gluten free croutons. That’s very rare, that was a treat. Ordered it with a side of mash. Delicious. My daughter ordered the chicken goujons with a side of garlic potatoes. The goujons come with a bbq and garlic dip. The garlic dip is amazing. Anyone who is gluten free there is a full gluten free menu. Even the chips can be done in a separate gluten free fryer so avoids any cross contamination. Lovely food and very friendly staff. Highly recommend.

Tank and Skinny's Seaside

07/10/2025: No matter how often we visit, it's excellent, the view out over the Lough Willy be it a sunny day or stormy, the coffee, food and service is top notch
21/09/2025: Where Buncrana’s sea whispers secrets to the shore, a seaside haven hums with quiet enigma. Lunch unfolds like a riddle, served by faces warm as hidden coves, their kindness a subtle spell. The food—sublime, woven from the region’s deepest flavors—unravels on the tongue. Cozy yet vast, the space holds you close, while the view, a wild tapestry of ocean and sky, guards its own mysteries. A place where heart and horizon conspire.
