We were looking for a dinner spot during the bank holiday weekend without having made a booking. This place fit us in despite being busy. Absolutely lovely staff.
We got the tuna steak, fish and chips and for dessert the cookie skillet and ricotta cheesecake. The mains were simply beautiful, especially the tuna. The fish batter could have been more crispy but that's just a personal preference. Chips were also stunning. The desserts came on comically big plates and the actual quality of food was good. Not as delicious as the main meals but good all the same.

Have had a few meals here now and have to say staff are great and the food is lovely. My favourite dish being the chicken wings 🥰can't comment on rooms as we didn't stay there

The Driftwood
We really wanted to like The Driftwood Restaurant, the setting was beautiful, the service was good, but the food was disappointing. What took us out of our way to eat lunch at this restaurant, were the great Google reviews and amazing looking seafood options. Little did we know that nearly all of the menu items which took us there are not available for lunch. Instead, we were left to choose from a very weird amalgamation of items from disparate culinary backgrounds. For example Chatzuka was next to chicken wings was next to hamburger was next to sushi rolls, etc. We ended up ordering a seafood chowder which was very middle of the road. Additionally not wanting to eat Middle Eastern, Japanese, American bar food on the Irish coast, we got the fish and chips and a beetroot burger. The fish and chips, like the chowder was unimpressive, the beetroot burger which we expected to be made in house based on it’s 18€ price tag was not worth the bun it was put on.
The true highlight of our lunch was our server Chloe, she was simply amazing. Maybe dinner is a better time to visit this restaurant which definitely had potential.

Stayed here one night and really enjoyed ourselves. The room are very clean and uniquely decorated. Voya products in the bathrooms. We are both dinner and breakfast at the restaurant. The food was delicious and the service was great. My only complaint is hotel guests are charged a fixed price for breakfast which we realized upon paying the bill. Turned out someone in our group ended up paying more than the menu cost for their meal.
Would stay here again though.
Funky hotel with kind of a early 20th Century vibe. Room was clean. Spacious, there was an entire sitting room in addition to the bed area. Old-style radio playing opera music when we came in the room and then like '30s jazz in the morning. Bathroom was acceptable with adequate towels. The rooms are located above a restaurant run by the same people and seemed to be popular.
Staff seemed to be a little overworked and frenzied. The check-in time is 3pm and our room was not quite ready. We had arrived at about 2pm and told to return at 3pm. Interestingly, you can't show up much past 3pm either. I guess someone comes in at that time to register guests for their rooms.
