Great little pub right on the sea in Rosses Point. The staff are so friendly, the Guinness is good and the food is excellent. A pint outside in the sun is a real treat. Perfect place to meet friends for food and drinks. Bonuses review, I actually got a free pint from the owner during my last visit out of the blue. Very appreciated.

We had 3 fantastic evenings of dining in Austies. We were a group of 6 and from the minute we arrived Laura and her team were so welcoming, happy and attentive. It was our first time there and we will most definitely be back for the craic, food and overall atmosphere.

Dropped in a for a pint and pizza, sat outside in the sunshine. Fantastic outdoor area, will be back in warmer weather. The inside restaurant looks great, nice old fashioned bar. Great pint of Guinness was had.

The Driftwood

02/05/2026: Our one-night stay in room 6 was very pleasant. We did also enjoy the dinner at the restaurant — the burgers were decent, and the waterfront view was truly beautiful. The quirky artwork felt like a cherry on top.
30/04/2026: This review is about the Driftwood's restaurant/bar: We had a light lunch here and sat outside with great views of Sligo Bay and Knocknarea in the distance. The sandwiches were delicious and the waiter deserved a medal for coping with a large group of hikers who arrived unannounced. During low season (up until the beginning of May), they only open for lunch from Thursday to Sunday. Highly recommended.
