Quaint little pub in a nice area, very friendly staff

A great place to meet for a bite to eat and a few drinks

After hiking to the Obelisk and Killiney Hill from Dalkey and NOT taking the "quick way" we found ourselves here for lunch. The staff was great, the vista at the top of the hill looking down the street into Killiney was a luxury. After a few pints, and some tips from the bartender, we headed off in search of more explorations in Bray and Greystones.

El personal era genial, la vista en la cima de la colina mirando por la calle en Killiney era un lujo. Después de unas pintas, y algunos consejos del camarero, nos dirigimos en busca de más exploraciones en Bray y Greystones.

Very cosy friendly pub with a good quality food menu, a bit limited but what they do, they do really well and the ambiance and cosieness make up on top of that. The food is of a very high standard with particular attention to presentation, selection and quality. On a recent visit I had baked cod and chips with salad of rocket, tomato, onion, cucumber, peppers, lemon, tartar sauce and deep fried scampi thrown in for good measure. I've had this meal several times, fantastic value best in the general area at €16.50 as shown. The bar manager and staff particularly attentive and helpful and efficient. Frequently quiet and relaxing, expect it to be maybe busy Friday afternoon / evening with customers coming home from work.

I've sent in a review of this pub before, and I'm sending another one now. Excellent service, friendly staff, and the other customers seemed friendly as well. Menu looked good value to me, will definitely try the grub the next time I'm out that way!
