The Ellison in Castlebar legal

Had a pleasant recent stay for a work trip. Room was clean, unfortunately too warm as it was during the nice weather and as this is Ireland, no AC so the room was so hot during the night. I had dinner and lunch in the Siar Restaurant. Chicken supreme for dinner was delicious, lunch was not as enjoyable as the curry wrap was a bit dry. Breakfast is your typical Irish hotel breakfast which is disappointing. Lisa at reception was so friendly and helpful.

Dreamy lobby, nice rooms. After a full day of exploring the area, we had to eat dinner at McDonald's across the street because the restaurants all close at 8:30, lol! Not just here, but across Ireland. Live music in the lobby was great!

Q) Is the restaurant open for non-guests for breakfast?

Great place. The nightstand was very helpful and a very good breakfast.

Our room was spotless, beautifully presented, and incredibly comfortable. The attention to detail in the cleaning and presentation was impressive, creating a relaxing and cozy atmosphere. Everything from the bedding to the bathroom was immaculate. The Ellison Hotel delivers both quality and care, and it made our stay in Castlebar all the more enjoyable. We left with only positive impressions and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area.

I cannot fault my recent stay at The Ellison. Staff are friendly & attentive, especially at breakfast with any requests dealt with swiftly. The room is a good size, with tea/coffee/ water items available, hairdryer, iron & iron board all within the room. The bed was very comfortable & the shower over bath had good pressure & temperature. Lift access was useful with luggage & the free car park for residents in an adjoining multi story was accessible. There are supermarkets & fast food places a few minutes walk away & the town is a few more minutes further. I great stay & will happily make a return visit.

A bit disappointed as there was no entertainment each night. Not everyone likes flat screen TV. The management should maybe try putting in Irish music shows on each night. Folk music is something different to get people maybe joining in. Not everyone likes theatre, Besides it can get expensive.

It's was lovely, great staff and a really nice breakfast. I'd stay again. I stayed again, it was as lovely as before.

Food and staff were excellent. Very friendly and helpful. Located in the centre of the shopping area.

Staff friendly rooms nice. Beds a bit hard (that personal thing) evening food very good.
