If you want a fun pub with live music, this is the place to go!

Does not serve food. Google lies that it’s a restaurant. But the drinks and atmosphere are perfect. A James Joyce awarded pub, quintessential Irish pub experience.

A warm and welcoming pub in central Kilkenny, catty corner to the castle. Local pub vibe. Ordered 2 Guinness pints, a ham & cheese toastie with a cup of their seafood chowder, hubby ordered goat cheese crostini and seafood chowder. Amazing chowder, chunky fish bites, creamy deliciousness! Felt like a warm hug on this cold day.

First pint of Guinness in Ireland, here at The Field Bar & Restaurant, did not dissappoint. Live music to boot as well. The bar staff was friendly, and locals were easy to talk to as well.

This place was Fantastic. Had live music and a great crowd. When I came from the USA, this is the place we were looking for. A laid back pub with live music, happy crowd, great atmosphere and a wide selection of beer.

We went for lunch and tried the fish and chips, which were very good. The best part is the authentic Irish pub atmosphere. All the staff were very professional and friendly, the service overall was excellent, I highly recommend it!

What a wonderful evening. Exactly what I was looking for. Authentically Irish. Great live music, which even accommodated one of my song requests. I met two very nice gentlemen and had a very pleasant conversation. It was exactly what I imagined an Irish pub to be like.

We only visited this small pub quickly during a day trip from Dublin. But the service we received was exceptional and amazingly friendly. Great and cozy place, too. Thank you and hopefully longer next time!
