This place used to have great character with freedom to explore the garden and walk past aviaries with owls and different types of pheasant, a huge apple tree out the front, and a lot of locally produced art etc for sale. I'm sure there may be very good reasons, or reasons outside anyone's control for a lot of this, but it's definitely lost some of its quirkiness.
The food was very good... service also quick and efficient...lovely seating area in the small garden and options to sit inside also .. would recommend highly...Also dog friendly which is a huge bonus.
My one complaint are the bathrooms...need a serious deep clean and i would recommend thst the sweeping brush and mop be put out of sight, not left beside the till ...just not a good look.....
Had a lovely brunch on the terrace. Delicious halloumi burgers with roasted pepper and avocado. Staff is pleasant and attentive and we have smiles and fully bellies leaving the premises
The cafe is gorgeous and we really enjoyed the terrace on that sunny day.
The waitresses were a bit lost, probably understaffed on that busy bank holiday, as we had to wait 50 minutes for a couple sandwiches and fries :/
So mixed feelings.
