The Golf Links Inn in Portmarnock

Large and beautiful room. The view can be nice if you're on the right side and on the right floor. But there's no cold water from the faucet, no handheld showerhead, and it's very difficult to adjust the temperature.

On the fence between 3/4 stats but the service let me down. Beautiful sea view room with incredible view. Everything new and fresh. Reception was cold on check in and check out, not very welcoming. Had issues in the car park too, just all seemed a little rough around the edges with efficiency and training. Has the potential to be a premium 4-Star just needs a little more ‘hospitality’.

Last night was absolutely unforgettable at Portmarnock Hotel! My group of friends and I decided to unwind at the Jameson Bar, and we couldn’t have had a better experience. Our waitress, Aoibheann, was simply brilliant attentive, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable. She made excellent recommendations and ensured our glasses were never empty, all while adding a personal touch that made us feel like VIPs. The ambiance of the Jameson Bar perfectly complemented the top-notch service, making it a night full of laughter, great conversation, and lasting memories. Kudos to Aoibheann for going above and beyond, and to the entire Portmarnock team for creating such a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommended for anyone

First time staying here at Portmarnock. Absolutely lovely area, room was great and very comfy bed. We had dinner in the Jameson, the rib eye was very grissly and tough, when I asked for a mojito was told they couldn't do cocktails due to them not having mint. I would still come back to this hotel though, ....sometimes we all have our off days.

I called the hotel to make an enquiry for an elderly relative and I spoke to a gentleman call Brian I have to say he went above and beyond to help me with my enquiry,he left me with a renewed sense of satisfaction that grest customer service is alive and well.thank you Brian for your kindness and excellent information Linda millerick

We had a lovely Saturday lunch in The Widows recently. We were heartily welcomed, and the staff could not do enough for us. I had cod, and the serving was huge. Others with me had cottage pie and a beef dish. There was a good choice on offer in all fairness. We all ate well. Huge choice of desserts too. Prices were decent and the place was clean, cheery and well lit. Plenty of oarking. All in all, a superb option in Porto.

Carvery and a la carte menu. Great food at very reasonable price. Lovely staff. Nothing too much trouble from kids meals to fussy Aunt Mary. Can't pass this restaurant for all round great package.
