Fabulous food and welcoming staff and dog friendly. Lots of outdoor seating and covered patio area that’s dog friendly.

This Restaurant is outstanding. The fish here is so fresh you can taste the salt from the sea. We ordered Black Sole and received two on each plate, an abundance of vegetables and potatoes accompanied the dish.

We had a very enjoyable meal at The Hollow and were impressed with both the quality of the food and the atmosphere of the restaurant. The fish dishes were excellent and it's easy to see why fish is considered a speciality here. The seasoned vegetables and mashed potatoes were particularly good – the mash was delicious, and all the accompaniments were cooked and presented beautifully. The bread also deserves a special mention, as it was exceptionally good. The ambience was warm and welcoming, making for a very pleasant dining experience. The only small criticism from our group was that one person found their burger a little dry. However, this was a minor issue and did not detract from what was otherwise an excellent meal. Overall, we were very happy with our visit and would gladly return.

We ate in the restaurant. Food was excellent. Deep Fried Brie was a delicious starter. I had the steak which was very good, with a generous helping of fried mushrooms and onions. The steak was a under seasoned but it’s a seafood place, so I’d recommend that (based on the bits I tried from others in the group). Servers were all friendly, but service was slow, as I think they forgot about us in the corner. It took 10mins to get menus and then the drinks arrived after the starters. It was busy enough for a Saturday night and there weren’t enough menus or water jugs to go around. We were also given tea cup saucers instead of side plates as they didn’t have enough. This didn’t really bother us, but considering the price, I’d expect better. I would go again, and I would recommend.

Just had a fantastic meal with my wife and two children. I had Hake which was probably the nicest freshest tasting fish I ever had. I missed lunch so was delighted to see a really decent portion. Really excellent place to eat. Owner ran like most truly great places are.

Really good food and excellent service

We visited The Hollow Bar & Seafood Restaurant yesterday, and we were genuinely impressed by the quality of the food. There were two families in our group, and even the kids loved their meals. We tried a great selection of seafood, including garlic butter prawns, black and lemon sole, monkfish, fish goujons, as well as halloumi and fish croquettes for starters. Everything was fresh, perfectly cooked, and absolutely delicious. It's not the cheapest seafood restaurant, but it is definitely the best one I've tried in Ireland. I've visited many seafood restaurants around the country, and this one really stands out for both the quality of the food and the variety on the menu. I'd highly recommend it to anyone looking for excellent seafood. We'll definitely be back!
