Best fish I had in this country

Outstanding food and a great little place to visit. Staff very helpful and great service.

A very quiet restaurant with very quiet music and very nice inside. Dinner was wonderful, the fresh, life-sized fish comes with potatoes and vegetables; so the price is worth it. I totally recommend it, I would love to come back again. Also, the owner came during dinner to make sure everything was going well. Furthermore, I loved the area where it is located, a very good experience without a doubt.

We had an absolutely gorgeous meal here last night. The monkfish starter was excellent, as was the homemade brown bread. We had kids fish goujons, cod, haddock, steak, and a burger, and each main course was consistently excellent. My son asked if he could buy a loaf of the beautiful brown bread to bring home for breakfast, and the owner kindly gave him a loaf on the house. Top class food, lovely ambience and service, cannot wait to return. Well done!

Probably the best, freshest fish I've ever eaten. Highly recommend. Lovely staff and faultless meals. Superb brown bread too!

Little bit chaotic when we first arrived. Stood at the bar, which seemed to be the only place to go, and watched a number of staff rush about in front of us with no-one acknowledging our presence for some time. Eventually a man who I'm guessing might be in charge said hi but couldn't find our reservation. I mentioned that I'd messaged earlier in the day on messenger so he wrote our name in the book and we waited for our table to be cleared and cleaned. Once sat at our table the evening improved. Service was friendly and efficient and the food was very good. I didn't have room for dessert so hope to return to do so another time. It is a noisy restaurant when at capacity, especially when people are clearly having a good time, this is not a complaint, just an observation. Visit date 20 July 2024.

We had a wonderful meal here. The Liver pate was excellent, The Lemon sole and cod were excellent , lovely and fresh . I would only have one quibble, I think €30 for an over night in Aire, is expensive .

This spot was a really nice surprise. From the lovely fresh decor to the welcoming staff, the excellent food and the very good Guinness we were well impressed. We were in the restaurant twice and had drinks in the bar another occasion. Prices were very reasonable for the quality provided. The Monkfish Scampi was excellent and really nicely presented. We all ordered seafood and the fresh pan- fried haddock and hake were terrific. This is restaurant quality food well above Barfood stays and it is served by a great team. The Lady Chef also went to each table for a friendly chat. This is something that’s done less and less in restaurants but we always appreciate it. Well recommended.
