High quality fish. They can make it pan fried. I recommend monkfish and sea bass. Irish atmosphere. To be repeated!

Here's a review you can post: We had a very enjoyable meal at The Hollow and were impressed with both the quality of the food and the atmosphere of the restaurant. The fish dishes were excellent and it's easy to see why fish is considered a speciality here. The seasoned vegetables and mashed potatoes were particularly good – the mash was delicious, and all the accompaniments were cooked and presented beautifully. The bread also deserves a special mention, as it was exceptionally good. The ambience was warm and welcoming, making for a very pleasant dining experience. The only small criticism from our group was that one person found their burger a little dry. However, this was a minor issue and did not detract from what was otherwise an excellent meal. Overall, we were very happy with our visit and would gladly return.

Although this was the highest ranking seafood restaurants in the wexford vicinity,I can't say it was worth of detour. It's a family restaurant, nicely decorated ,however it's in the middle of nowhere and half of the menu wasn't available. Service was attentive but there were some issues with our order which we decided not to address then and there. We found that menu was extremely limited with several options unavailable at the moment. What was available was tasty and reasonably priced.

I've eaten here many times & it never fails πŸ˜‹.The freshness off the fish stands out, the quality of the veg & the service makes this a really good food experience for me. We decided to purge ourselves on the Rhubarb crumble after having 2 previous courses of one of the most delicious seafood meals..the rhubarb was the main character on the plate with little bits of crumble that were like little gems ...served with cream & ice cream...omg I was told her deserts were sublime & Yes it was. Well done to all , in a climate where it's difficult to find good authentic food restaurants ....you excelled 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

29/06/2026: My wife and I had the pleasure of dining here last Saturday. Great service from very friendly and efficient staff despite being extremely busy. Lovely bustling atmosphere between customers and staff. Hats off to your kitchen staff, and especially your head chef. Their food was outstanding, fish n chips was perfect and in my opinion your duck wings are pure genius, so nice I had two portions.

The Cottage Restaurant

08/07/2026: Lovely award winning restaurant
05/07/2026: I'm just back from a Sunday lunch visit to The Cottage and had to immediately write a short review. It was exceptional. Sometimes you're handed a menu and there's only one or two options that appeal to you - making your choice of starter and main course easy - but this is not the way The Cottage rolls. Plenty of options, lots of variety and I wanted all of them - but eventually chose tuna to start and duck for my main. The food was beautifully presented, delicately seasoned and in the case of my duck main, served in monstrously big portions. Every bite was delicious but to then hit me with a dessert trolley and a waitress who seems to have taken a leaf out of Mrs Doyles book ('Ah go on, have another little bit') was more than my waistline could bear. EUR40 for the Sunday lunch menu is an absolute steal. The food was amazing, the setting in historic Jamestown was lovely and the staff were warm & welcoming. Highly recommended!
