The Hungry Monk in Greystones

Lovely atmosphere and while my dish (surf and turf) was ok, my mother ordered the most spectacular wild caught fresh cod with a prosecco and Chive cream sauce! There were many fabulous items to choose from; just regretted my order. Napkins and cutlery were flimsy and canteen like which was suprising. Food and ambience made up for these little shortcomings.

Had a lovely night here. A very welcoming place. Really made feel so comfortable. Only a few mins to wait before getting table Had previously booked. A lovely atmosphere, a little dark but the candle effect was beautiful and made it feel romantic. A beautiful selection on the menu. Delicious and hot. Great flavours. Great comadary amongst the Staff. Asked us on more than one occasion was everything good. Toilets spotless. Will be back. Highly recommended.

I have always loved coming here, from when I was young, to now. The food and the service has always been great. I would always highly recommend. This time round I shared the cote de beuf and it was very very nice. Great decision.

They had an offer on for steaks ,the food was good and service prompt however the steak for the overall cost of the meal outside of rhe offer was nearly uncutable ,very chewy and bloated out when cooked. The person I was with had the same steak but was able to cut and eat easier. Only one side of the resteraunt was open due to demand so quite cramped however they glady put the ac on

Fantastic atmosphere, very friendly staff (family business?), and delicious food. The seating is cozy and close together, which completes the atmosphere. Highly recommended.

The Hungry Monk is a wonderful place to eat in Greystones Ireland. Extremely cozy atmosphere and exceptional food.

Grand aul spot! The staff were lovely and you’re well looked after, the steak was gorgeous and the prices are definitely fair for the size of the food they give you! I’ll be back for more without a doubt

We are on holiday and craving a Sunday lunch, we saw this and thought to give it a go. It didn't disappoint, staff were very attentive but didn't come across pushy, our roast beef was excellent, if you are in the area you have to give it a try xx

Five of us had dinner at the Hungry Monk on a Saturday evening and had a superb experience. We were seated at a lovely round table and received first-class service throughout. The menu was seasonal and appealing, with beautifully cooked dishes—sea bass, tempura monkfish, lamb, rib eye, and excellent desserts. Portions were generous, using quality ingredients, well presented. The wine recommendations were spot on. A thoroughly enjoyable evening and highly recommended

Had a lovely family meal here last week. Warm, welcoming atmosphere with friendly staff and a great menu. The food was fresh, beautifully cooked, and full of flavour. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area!
