The Kingsley in Cork

Food is excellent here reasonably priced well worth a visit

Unfortunately our stay at The Kingsley was a bit of a disappointment. Upon arrival we could see that the hotel itself was lovely, we could tell that there had been a lot of money and thought put into the lobby, bar and restaurant areas, the decor was great and the food and cocktails were nice. But, the Classic King room we stayed in was not up to par, especially the bathroom which was really dated with a lot of visible wear and tear (photos) The room was fine, nothing particularly wrong with it, but nothing special about it either. We had a lovely view of the River Lee from our room, but apart from that there was nothing unique or exciting about it, it was very bland and uninteresting. When I book a room in a 4 star hotel I expect to feel like I have treated myself when I arrive, but sadly I just felt very underwhelmed by it all. It didn't feel like a 4 star hotel and I don't believe it was worth the €279 we paid for the night.

Lovely views, great staff and overall a fantastic experience. They even marked my birthday by upgrading our room, provided a lovely surprise desert in our room as well as provided two complimentary drinks of our choice with our meal. They couldn't have done any more. A big thank you.

Stopped in for food, which was good. Free and accessible parking was a major bonus.

Mi amigo que vive en Cork reservó el té de la tarde para nosotros para un placer ya que estaba de visita desde Escocia. El hotel en sí es precioso y el té de la tarde era bueno, pero el servicio no era genial en absoluto. Nos sentamos y nos preguntaron si queríamos té o café (sin opciones de té o tipo de café) luego minutos después llegó la comida que se colocó en la mesa el camarero se fue sin darnos ninguna explicación de lo que íbamos a comer así que tuve que buscar en internet la información. El prosecco nunca llegó, así que tuve que encontrar a alguien que me lo pidiera... entonces no... nadie se acercó a nosotros para preguntarnos si queríamos más bebidas, más té o café... nada. Tuve que subir al mostrador dos veces para pedir la cuenta ... había un montón de personal, pero nadie - parecía estar interesado en nosotros o la mesa de al lado que también tuvo que levantarse para encontrar a alguien para hacer preguntas! ¡Una verdadera pena, ya que realmente estábamos deseando!

Fui aquí para el almuerzo me dieron el sándwich de bistec era muy sabroso, pero 25 euros punto de precio es un poco en el lado caro para el almuerzo. Mi padre le regaló al cordero 24 euros que era una porción pequeña, 2 trozos pequeños de brócoli con un poco de puré. Si las porciones fueran un poco más grandes y los precios un poco más pequeños sería satisfactorio
