Great food and a lot to do around there. Really close to Sean’s bar in a huge castle that you can tour.

Disappointing- Starter was prawns in batter - was nice - mains steak - was just ok - didn’t like the chips that came with it . Was just ok - got a forest martin and agin it wasn’t great - overall was ok - Lovely wine menu and choice !

This was a last-minute lunch find for us. They found us a table straight away and were able to help us find something to eat considering our food allergies. The food was great, the service even better, and the folks are friendly.

04/09/2025: Went to River View Bistro in Athlone for lunch today — our second time here, and it was just as good as the first! 😍 We ordered the veg pasta and veg focaccia, and honestly, who says vegetarian food isn’t good? Give it a try and you’ll know! The garlic bread was so soft and buttery, and pairing it with the pasta was just chef’s kiss 👌✨
