Such a lovely place! The staff is friendly and the environment is cozy. I ate a bowl with roasted pumpkin and vegan feta which was epic! I also recommend trying their Masala Chai, absolutely loved it!

We happily stumbled across this lovely little spot on my last full day in Galway. The atmosphere inside was calm and peaceful and the food was absolutely delicious. My brother and his daughter enjoyed a warming soup, my 2 year old niece ate it all up so it must have been delicious! I enjoyed a platter with a variety of different vegetables both cooked and fresh and some yummy rice. Such a lovely place to sit, watch the world go by, and enjoy a nourishing meal made with love with family. Thank you for the lovely service also.  I would recommend Jemi Lighthouse, to all my friends and family, and will come again during my next visit to Galway.

While the food was tasty, it was ridiculously expensive for what you got. I eat out a lot and found that it was way more expensive than Dublin and the portions were smaller. One of the items ordered was a vegan Ruben. Anywhere else we have ordered this it is full of slices of tofu, seitan (or whatever they are using) this one had 4 miserable slices of tofu and we were told that was what went into it when we mentioned it. The server did get more to be fair but appeared surprised we would question it. If this had been around €10 I wouldn’t have said anything but at almost €15 it was really a joke. The other item we got was the Mexican bowl and while again it was tasty, it was not worth the €17 we paid for it. I understand that restaurants are being squeezed with VAT and rising costs etc but if you’re going to charge those prices the food had better be worth it and, in this case, it fell far short.

This is an absolutely beautiful place to grab lunch whether you are vegan, veggie or neither! The salads are so flavourful and there is a great variety in each. Ingredients are chosen carefully and presented beautifully. Would highly recommend!

I had the hotpot which was a vegan butter chickpea. Absolutely delicious and I also had a cup of soup. The flavours are fabulous and the food is presented very beautifully. The service is very warm and welcoming. My body feels very nourished after I've eaten there.

I had the squash salad and it was a massive harty bowl of delicious comfort. The person serving was super lovely and attentive. Nice tunes going inside. Delicious creamy lattes. Would definitly reccomend

17/03/2025: Absolutely stunning location. Food is a tad expensive but I think well worth it. They’ve a great selection of cocktails aswell. I would definitely say if you want to splash the cash The Hyde is definitely worth it. Staff are lovely aswell 🫶
10/03/2025: Visito regularmente el Hyde Bar y para ser honesto nunca puede culpar al personal aquí, sí, en ocasiones cuando está arriba de las paredes, uno tiene que entender el estrés que están bajo, no es culpa de ellos mismos, voy a decir que algunos de los gerentes adecuados podrían ser un poco más de apoyo durante estos tiempos... Así que hoy 10 / 3 me retrasé así que decidí almorzar, saludada por una chica muy agradable, pedí mi bebida habitual junto con la hamburguesa vegana, no soy vegana pero disfruto mucho de las comidas veganas / vegetarianas, y bueno, solo puedo decir esto por lejos la hamburguesa a base de plantas más agradable y sabrosa que he comido y he probado muchas, todo el aspecto de ella, los diferentes gustos 😋 . . . Rechazé el postre, pero caí en la tentación tal vez 20 minutos más tarde n ordenó el posset de limón, servido con frambuesas frescas y una galleta casera 😋.... Todavía se sentía algo ligero después de una comida tan deliciosa. . . Gran lugar 👌 gran vino, y los mejores cócteles 🍸 servido por el mejor personal del bar. . . Buena comida de una gran cocina, traída a la mesa por tan buen personal de servicio. . . Siempre es lo que me lleva a volver a un lugar una y otra vez... Así que la gerencia tampoco puede estar haciendo tan mal... Gracias por siempre la bienvenida 🙏🏼

09/04/2025: Great place, the staff was professional and welcoming. Regarding the food, it was undoubtedly one of the best restaurants I have eaten in Ireland, but for Belgians or French people used to good restaurants back home, do not expect the same level for the price. The dishes are very tasty and the ingredients are top quality, some perhaps lack a little complexity given the price. In the end, the prices are perhaps a little high compared to the food, especially when you add the tens of euros of service charges calculated from the amount of the stub
01/04/2025: Kai is one of the best places I've ever eaten. We had a good meal here for two and the service and food was stellar. They had a number of good options for vegetarians/pescatarians and some delicious wines and drinks to go with. The setting is charming, as I think it used to be an old stable or other building for the nearby church. Excellent ambiance and we had a wonderful time. I will be sure to eat here again if I'm back in Galway!
