The Lighthouse Cafe in Galway

I had a ' chorizo' toastie here today and paid 14 euros for it. I expected some type of specialised sandwich but literally it was a limp toastie. Terrible! Staff are lovely though. Coffee was nice but skip the food. This place used to be excellent but I think management have changed and food is definitely a rip off.

Paid 13.50 for a cheese sandwich in white bread with 2 lettuce leaves on the side and 3.80 for a coffee. Will think twice about going there again.

Cute and cozy little place for (very good) vegetarian/vegan food. Staff was really friendly and we would definitely recommend it. Also one of the best coffees i've had in Galway.

Love finding a veggie place. Bit disappointed by amount of tofu in the hotpot, but the sandwich was delicious!

We had a vegetarian Reuben sandwich and a squash salad. It was delicious. In the heart of the pedestrian Latin Quarter.

Feels overpriced for what you get. For reference Dublin breakfast spots do the same quality and size portion for less. Similar dishes in Dublin would be in the €8-€10 ballpark in the right spot, whereas it seems like in Galway breakfast spots like this €14+ What the lighthouse charge for their overnight oats and their beans on toast seems rather high. Maybe it’s the rent in Galway but I’ve found this is a common trend for most places. I’m puzzled as to why it’s warranted.

So good! We got the hotpot, the Reuben, Beetroot and Red Lentil Soup, and the Tumeric Chai. All were fantastic!

Really sweet cafe ! A lovely lovely waiter ! Great veggie sandwiches for a nice break from the rain !
