### A Festive Culinary Adventure at The Lotts Café Bar I recently had the pleasure of dining at The Lotts Café Bar (9 The Lotts Lower Liffey, Dublin 1), and I must say, it was quite the experience! From the moment I walked in, I was enveloped in a beautiful warm atmosphere, enhanced by a traditional bar and enchanting chandeliers. The Christmas decorations added a delightful touch, making it feel like a festive wonderland. One of the highlights of my visit was the elderly lady serving at the bar, who was the spitting image of Peggy Mitchell from the Queen Vic. She brought a unique charm to the experience, even if her service was a bit reminiscent of Peggy's own—entertaining yet slightly incompetent. It appeared to be her first day on the job, and while she could benefit from some training, her captivating presence added to the quirky ambiance of the café. Now, let’s talk food! I decided to go for the All Day Breakfast, which was an absolute steal at €14.95. This hearty meal came with toast and coffee, and I couldn’t resist adding another coffee for €3.60 and a chocolate brownie with ice cream for €6.50. However, I was taken aback to find an unexpected €3 charge on my bill for a small scoop of ice cream. While I appreciate that every scoop counts, this felt a bit greedy, especially considering that I could have enjoyed a coffee and dessert across the way at the Ilac Centre for just €6.99 Despite this minor hiccup, my overall experience was delightful and memorable. In fact, I jokingly decided to rename our dear Peggy to "The Grinch," suggesting she might be better suited as a Christmas tree statue or tourist attraction! In conclusion, I would recommend The Lotts Café Bar for its charming atmosphere and great value breakfast. Just be prepared for a little quirky service and keep an eye on those extra charges!

Lovely food, great atmosphere, and a new self-service bar in addition to the main bar.

We recently came for a meal with you, and was very happy with the quality of food, as well as the service by the waitress called Gosaa, gave us really good service throughout our meal, and went the extra mile to deliver for my girlfriend’s birthday, adding a candle onto an already delicious cheesecake. She talked to us and made sure we were both happy and she was overall a lovely woman. The food was amazing and when we return to Dublin, we will definitely make sure we have time to come back. Thank you for a very good service on a special day!

Thank you so, so much for such a lovely experience in Dublin. Gosaa served us and was absolutely lovely with us. It was my birthday and Gosaa made it very special with her kindness. We had dessert, and Gosaa put a candle in my cake and sang me happy birthday - I found this really, really lovely! Please can someone give this lovely lady a bit of something for her kind service and as a thank you from us! Thank you, Gosaa for making my birthday meal special in Dublin! ❤️

I was so pleased with the whole experience. The beef stew was delicious and loaded with tender beef. An excellent lunch with great ambience and employees.

Great little find on our first night in Dublin. Staff were very friendly, Beef Stew was amazing and of course the pint of Guinness was perfect. We'll be back.

Zufällig sind wir im Lotts vorbeikommen, eigentlich auf ein Bier. Nachdem uns der Service aber so gut gefallen hat, haben wir uns entschlossen, zum Abendessen zu bleiben. Das war die richtige Entscheidung, wir haben Fish & Chips, sowie einen Beef Burger gehabt, beides war sehr gut und das noch zu vernünftigen Preisen. Wir kommen wieder.

Had an excellent meal at Lotts. Delicious steaks brought on a hot plate which you cook yourself at the table. Very tasty. Friendly service and good value. Only reason for 4 rather than 5 is the wine wasn’t great but you don’t come to Dublin for the wine!
