This is a cozy neighborhood cafe. Lough lake is often visited by tourists and this cafe, located right on the lake, is always welcoming. Like Cork itself, the staff at this cafe are always friendly and kind. The warm atmosphere makes this a place I want to visit often! If you come around, I recommend taking a break for a while.

Very nice little cafe near the lake. Atmosphere is fantastic. Ordered ice latte and a brownie to enjoy Sunday afternoon. Very refreshing to come here and just sit through the day to chill out.

At the bottom of the hill coming down from the Lough Chapel this little jewel reminds me of The Shambles in Paul Street 60 years ago. The coffee is superb, the treats are homemade and great value. An ideal reward after the compulsory lap(s) of the Lough. 8/10

As a visitor from Tasmania I have been able to visit the lough Cafe on my last 2 visits to Cork.The staff are very friendly and made me fell most welcome the coffee and food are excellent and the atmosphere is great can not recommend this great place highly enough

Box'd! Drive Thru Coffee

06/01/2025: Box D is such an amazing concept and idea: drive through or pick up and go. The lads here are super friendly and knowledgeable. The coffee is outstanding as well as their snacks. We have been enjoying their new Matcha lineup as well. Blueberry matcha yum!!! Definitely visit here and go for a walk along River Lee. It is wheelchair accessible.

01/01/2025: Charming, warm, homely, stripped back old-style pub. Wonderful experience and oasis right in the middle of the cacophony of Cork city centre. Friendly vibe, no tvs, no music just the real deal Irish pub. You’d never know who you might bump into with such an eclectic clientele of local and international.
