Very nice little cafe near the lake. Atmosphere is fantastic. Ordered ice latte and a brownie to enjoy Sunday afternoon. Very refreshing to come here and just sit through the day to chill out.

At the bottom of the hill coming down from the Lough Chapel this little jewel reminds me of The Shambles in Paul Street 60 years ago. The coffee is superb, the treats are homemade and great value. An ideal reward after the compulsory lap(s) of the Lough. 8/10

As a visitor from Tasmania I have been able to visit the lough Cafe on my last 2 visits to Cork.The staff are very friendly and made me fell most welcome the coffee and food are excellent and the atmosphere is great can not recommend this great place highly enough

The Lough Cafe used to be fantastic - the staff working there are all still great but the place needs a really deep clean. I get that it's dog friendly but it is leading to some hygiene issues which cannot be overlooked.

Love this quirky coffee place...everything is thrown together and it just works.. Staff are super friendly and also dog friendly so that's a real bonus....

12/09/2024: Staff are great, especially Aoife and Nina. Had a tuna melt with salad and rustic potatoes. Very nice. The place has a very nice local atmosphere. They're milkshakes are fantastic.

27/06/2024: We often use On A Platter to cater our business meetings and the food is always very fresh and delicious. The team is also super nice to deal with. Must pop in and try them in person some time : )
26/06/2024: in general the Deli is ok, but there is one important missing in selection of the candy, let me tell you this story. Today I went in and I asked to the cashier just one candy: THE SNAKE... but he sadly answer that they are out of stock....CRAZYYYYY...I HOPE IT WAS JUST MY CASE AND IT WON'T HAPPEN AGAIN. just to be precise I really recommend this place :)
