Really good quality, flavorsome food, my mum and I aren't big on take-out, but love this place and go all the time! Homemade desserts are my mum's go to, good quality non processed ingredients. Lovely girls working there :)

Had vegetarian crunch wrap and chicken quesadilla here, Both were absolutely delicious!! Highly recommended. Staff is also very sweet and polite.

Birria tacos are properly nice. The beef is tasty and tender and the consommé is liquid crack. Kinda pricey but what isn't these days. Highly recommend. 'Nacho' average Mexican joint!

What a great surprise! I’m glad we decided to change things up from the usual pubs and try The Mex instead. It’s very well located, with a few outdoor seats and cozy spots right by the window. The portions were extremely generous. We ordered tacos, loaded fries, and nachos and everything was full of flavor. Highly recommended if you’re in Cobh and craving something different!

I have to give a special mention to The Mex, Cobh. They are situated right opposite to the titanic experience. They have AMAZING vegan options. They have vegan Quesadillas, Tacos, Burritos and Nachos. The Nachos with Avacado Cream and Cheese are the best I have ever had. Trust me, im not over hyping them. I can still taste them on my taste buds. So delicious! 🫠 It's a must to try the Vegan Chorizo Burrito bowl. 🥰 The staff over there are friendly and flexible.

01/07/2025: We discovered this wonderful pub during our Ireland road trip and what a fantastic find it was! The Anchor Bar is tucked away on a steep street, well off the beaten tourist path - which is exactly what makes it so special. This is where you experience authentic Irish pub atmosphere: cozy and rustic with beautiful maritime décor that perfectly suits Cobh. But the absolute highlight is the stunning view over the bay - simply breathtaking! The prices are very reasonable and the barkeeper (a genuine Liverpool fan) was incredibly warm and welcoming. We had wonderful conversations not only with him but also with the other locals - these are the moments that create the best travel memories. Anyone visiting Cobh who wants to experience an authentic Irish pub away from the tourist crowds should definitely stop by here. Highly recommended!
