We had a fantastic experience at the Mill restaurant. When we arrived at the venue, there had been a mix up with our booking (not the fault of the venue) but the team found a space for us despite it being sold out. On hearing that we were on our anniversary we were given complimentary drinks. The service was fantastic, even though our table was outside the usual service space. Senan who was our waiter was extremely attentive, professional and informed of the menu and suitable wine pairings. We will be coming back for sure. Thank you for making our anniversary special!

Stayed in the Cliff and ate in The Mill. The restaurant is bright and beautiful although the bar at the restaurant was a bit unnecessarily dark. The servers were very young but really well trained. Attentive but not over bearing. The food was just incredible. We were introduced to bread on the table. Both breads were lovely and warm. The Guinness bread was outstanding and a full loaf came home with us . I had pigeon to start and it was glorious. My wife had the lobster salad, again amazing. We both had John Dory for mains. It came with a beautiful chowder as well as beautiful fresh gnocchi. The star of the show was the fish itself. It was absolutely exquisite. Worthy of any Michelin restaurant that I have been too. The chef is hitting huge highs with this and all the dishes. Desert was equally amazing. My wife had the Louis xv and loved it . I had the cheese board and my only issue was that there was too much. Even the kitchen made crackers were superb. Cant wait to go back.

Came here for a nice dinner for gf bday. The start was a bit sketchy where some ppl left dogs outside the entrance and barked at everyone like mad. This part was the disappointing part, now for the experience. For starters we got some nice warm breads with butter followed by oysters and croquettes. The oysters were super tasty, one of them had a little sad look to it but was still yummy. The croquette was a bit disappointing as where I am from we are big on these and they were essentially a hashbrown with a little something inside. For the mains we had the steak and the John Dory, we picked broccoli and mash for our sides. The John Dory also had a nice chowder alongside it. The food was exceptionally well cooked and very tasty. The quantity was also decent and we weren't left hungry. For desserts we had the Louis XV and the fruity mille feuille. Delicious and very well made, the Louis chocolate had a nice ice cream with it that was divine. The mille feuille was very crispy and well made as well as delicious. We finished the meal with coffees. Some tiny bit of ground grain still in the coffee though.

Very attentive service. Very well trained team. Nice menu. Correct number of dishes and variety for the number of seats. Same for the wine list. Fantastic ambience, view and tasteful decor. Nice fixtures, fittings and operating equipment. Real open fire. Good bread. Great value dining experience. Quality commensurate with price. I'll definitely return, repeatedly. Wine glasses are nice quality and the pour is adequate, verging on generous. If I had to find a gripe, foccacia was not really focaccia. But was still nice. Lamb rump was not well hung, slight bloody flavour, not the chefs fault. It was cooked perfectly and was actually lamb, not hogget. Bit economical with the accompanying vegetables. All small issues that would not deter me from visiting again or recommending the Mill.

Came to the Mill for a business dinner. Fantastic location, and beautiful restaurant and buildings, nice to eat looking out onto the flowing water. Service was friendly from the start. Lovely food, nice presentation, and tasted fantastic. The pork loin and black pudding was really something, but for me the Guinness bread really stood out, it was too moreish! 😂 Would reccomend, and will definitely try to return on my next trip to Dublin.
