The Moorings in Dungarvan

Arrived at the Moorings, early for a 3pm (2pm) booking, and we were accommodated with a table for 3. Service was prompt, professional and friendly. Food was amazing and reasonable for the three of us. Thanks very much, we will be back again soon. Lively but not over the top.

Myself and the wife popped in for our birthday dinner..never fails to disappoint...steak was fabulous...service fantastic...hats off to darren and all the staff as it was very busy...see ye all soon again.

Don't order fish and chips unless you have low expectations. The chips are frozen. The fish is cut very thin. And it tastes very fishy. Disappointing. Award winning supposedly - that award is well in the past I think and now they're living off of their reputation.

Very good receptionist took our booking and she was so attentive during our visit. Food was excellent,service also,we’ll be back again.

We stumbled on this place and got a lovely seat outside in the sun. Myself, mother, wife and two young children were absolutely delighted with the meal and service. Very nice young girl went out of her way to look after our two toddlers and nothing was a hassle. The food was fantastic. We all got fish specials of different types. Really quality ingredients and very generous portions. Would highly recommend this place. Top class.

First-class lunch in a historic setting! The four of us enjoyed a fantastic lunch break at The Moorings. Location & History: The restaurant boasts a stunning location right on the quayside (Davitt’s Quay) with a view of the water. The historic atmosphere is unique – the location combines maritime tradition with its immediate proximity to the historic King John’s Castle. Ambiance: The interior and the entire setup are beautifully designed. You immediately feel at ease. Service: The staff was incredibly warm and cheerful, and our food was served surprisingly quickly. Cleanliness: We would also like to give special mention to the restrooms – they were very clean and well-maintained. Conclusion: A full 5 stars for service, ambiance, and the superb location. We will definitely be back!
