I went to this place after looking at the reviews and pictures online . I was very excited to try a nice traditional Irish stew as the pictures looked great. Unfortunately the Irish stew was one of the worst I have tried in Ireland. It was extremely watery and seemed more like a broth than a stew. The potatoes were hard and the meat was tough. The place and the staff were really nice but the food wasn't up to scratch.

Great atmosphere and music. I caught the Barman on a bar day, very grumpy 🙄 Service was ok and so was the food. Pub grub style.

10/12/2024: The Old Oak. Is a Fine big bar on Oliver Plunkett Street in Centre of Cork Centre! Not far from GPO. A Lively place plenty of live Music and big selection of alcoholic beverages and Cocktails from their 3 or 4 Bars! You can eat here too! Friendly staff sometimes. Good Atmosphere usually but can get very Busy in the Evening. There is Live Sport on their wide screen TVs too! Great place for Groups Couples or on your own! Bit Pricey for a pint of Guinness.
