The Old Town Whiskey Bar at Bodega in Cork

Only reason this gets a 4 star if the burger we had that's it. This place is a massive surprise, outside you wouldn't think it was this cool and nice. I would recommend 100%.

We had dinner here two times. Both times the food was excellent. On the first evening there was hardly anyone there, but the second time the place was packed. Quite a different experience but the service was great both nights. Without having to ask, water is served which is a nice plus. The burgers were amazing (chicken, blue cheese and bodega). Because the stew was not available, they had chicken supreme. This was a very tasty dish that deserves a permanent place on the menu :-)

✨ I celebrated my birthday at Bodega on Saturday, February 8th, and it was simply AMAZING! 🎉 From the very first moment, everything was perfect: the atmosphere, the service, and the food. 🥂 The finger food was an absolute hit plentiful for 20 people, served hot and crispy. So delicious and highly recommended! 🎧 A special shoutout to DJ WilRos, who is without a doubt the heart and soul of the place. His music made the night even more special! 🙏 Huge thanks to the entire staff for their kindness and professionalism. I will definitely be back! 📸 And the only thing I regret… is that I was so excited I forgot to take pictures of the set-up!

Great bar and great staff, Fergal goes above and beyond with his knowledge of whiskey and beers, and the food is fantastic.

Great place to hold parties etc

It started out cool. That was 15 years ago. Now it is frayed.

I have run a few events in the Bodega and they have been so amazingly accommodating as a space. I have organised three community events which bring remote employees together, and it is great to have the private space upstairs all to ourselves. The brunch we ate at our laughing yoga event was delicious and was able to cover everyone's dietary needs. A massive thank you to Steve and Heather for their support at these events.

Unfortunately a disappointment. Train station atmosphere, inappropriate music, many of the whiskeys on offer were not in stock and at some point the bar stools were taken away from us by the “service”.

Excellent customer service, if a bit slow. Friendly bar staff and cozy atmosphere. Would recommend.
