23/02/2025: Delicious (rich) food in a delightful location not far from the spectacular Hook Head peninsula; served by polite and engaging staff.
Not cheap; in fact expensive but well worth an indulgent break.
To be thoroughly recommended.

16/01/2025: To all potential visitors, Dunbrody is an absolute delight. And i reckon a bit of a treasure. I had been there years ago for one of my best mates weddings so not alot is rememberedπ€π€¦ββοΈ. However this time i was determined to be more mature...Myself and my husband stayed there over Christmas. We were very fortunate to have a bit of magic with the snow and bright blue icy skies π. From the minute we arrived Will, General Manager greeted us as long lost friends. We had a beautiful suite at the top of the house ,perhaps very overheated but it was minus degrees outside! . We had the most delicious, really stunning meal in the seafood bar/ restaurant and bar( and very reasonably priced actually folks) . Im still thinking about that cod and caper dish ,its hard to make cod taste of anything unless its from a chipper and deep fried in batter but my god it was delicious!( We had paid for a New Years package that included one dinner in the the gorgeously decorated seafood bar and restaurant and one dinner in the main dining room ). I can genuinely say after a really hard ,hectic lead up to Christmas with various family members sick with the flu and work in hospital looking after more very sick patients ,Dunbrody and their incredible team were like a trip to a luxurious Irish Winterland of escape π€Ά πππππ·π·π·πΎ). The staff MADE the 2 night stay ,the food was exceptional but really the staff added the je ne sais qoui. Debbie ,the dining room manager ,a beautiful charming Portuguese woman who managed my endless indecisions about what to order,Sandra the absolutely wonderful waitress from Sweden,so knowledgeable we went with all of her and Debbies' suggestions. The very charming lady who ran the breakfast show, which I suspect is the hardest gig in the house,I'm sorry i didn't get her name, she was brilliant. We had Heather, again absolutely terrific and a French waitress whose name i didn't catch ( sorry π€¦ββοΈ) but who too didn't let the side down. Last and definitely not least was Daniel originally from Estonia who was the best and most charming barman with the best cocktails I have encountered in years.( i think they should have filled the champagne flutes a little higher but look ,very 1st world problems )Dunbrody is not cheap and our room probably could do with a mild shake up but the unbelievable charm, class and elegance of the building, food ,staff and such a bloody wow of a location made it really one of the best hotel experiences we have had in years!. Thank you folks and a very Happy New Year, Dr Dominic Rowley and Dr Neil O'Morain
