It’s my second time dining in The Port House Cava and the food is simply amazing.
The service and the staff are very good as well as the food.
Th Port House Cava became one of our best spots to dine in and have some drinks.

Tapas were meh. Not super flavorful. Service is meh. Overall. It was fine and a break from fish n chips, but nothing fabulous.

this was the best meal i had on my trip to dublin! the prices were super reasonable, and the portions were fairly large for tapas. i also loved that we could just check off what we wanted on the little card. everything was delicious, but the pan con tomate cleared!

It's a delicious tapas place. I ate upstairs and the staff was friendly and nice.
Food and wine were lovely, staff was so friendly and helpful, even though the place was super busy. Special shout out to Giannis for being simply the best !!

Food was amazing.. never tasted croquettes as good as the ones here. The pork belly was disappointing and very dry but overall the service was good and food was delicious. I'd recommend and definitely return.

A gem - tapas authentically Spanish paired with a curated list of Spanish wines. Recommended: the meat and cheese board for two.

We went for bottomless brunch. We sat down at 1pm and the place was empty, which is fine, that can happen, but service was fairly slow. Food was nice and simple but the we just left thinking it was all very average and not great value. Staff were nice, just missing.

I visited The Port House Cava recently and overall had a pleasant experience. The ambiance was cozy and inviting, and the staff were friendly and attentive throughout our meal.
The chicken paella was very flavorful and well-cooked — definitely a highlight of the night. The chicken skewers, while tasty, were a bit too heavily seasoned for my liking.
However, I was quite disappointed with the “Piri Piri Chicken” dish. Based on the name, I expected something closer to the traditional Portuguese-style grilled or roasted chicken with piri piri sauce. Instead, I received deep-fried chicken pieces soaked in oil, which had no resemblance to the preparation or flavor profile typically associated with piri piri chicken.
While I understand creative interpretations of classic dishes are common, I believe it’s important for the menu to clearly describe what is being served — especially when using a well-known dish name that sets specific expectations. This would help customers make informed choices and avoid disappointment.
In summary: great service and atmosphere, very good paella, overly seasoned skewers, and a misleading representation of the piri piri chicken.
