The Pottery Restaurant in Arklow

Really good two night stay at the Arklow Bay. Friendly staff and great location near lovely walk on the seafront and walking distance of the shopping centre and town.

Stupendous, lovely place, didn't stay, but very nice, they do need to change their bar stools though. But otherwise great and the bartenders were very efficient and friendly.

Check in was pleasant and professional, we stayed on the top floor where rooms were refurbished. Rooms were fine , wouldn’t call them luxurious but had everything you need and beds were extremely comfortable. It was my birthday and when arriving in my room there was a lovely hand written card wishing me happy birthday and a small box of butler’s chocolates which I thought was amazing and made my day . We eat in the bar on both nights and food was ok but expensive enough ten chunky chips for 5 euro that’s 50 cent per chip which is crazy . Staff in bar were so slow , you ordered a drink and it was always around 15 to 20 mins before you got it but saying that there was one member of staff who was very professional friendly and her service was quick . She asked us after we ordered if we would like water as well as a drink with our food any other time I had to go and get our own . Her name was Karen and when I pointed out to her that she was the first lounge staff whose service was good she thanked us and told us she was only working in the bar two days but had previously worked in the restaurant. I think Karen could teach the rest of the staff there how to serve properly . Storm Bert had hit that weekend so we did not leave the hotel but there was entertainment which we enjoyed . Overall we enjoyed the Arklow hotel and will be back soon and hopefully by then they will have this ladies Karen supervising the other staff and they will all be as good as her

Arklow is a hidden gem. I loved the atmosphere.

We had a fantastic few days away in the Arklow Bay Hotel . We go there on a regular basis with 6 other couples. The staff are amazing and go to endless trouble to make our stay great . They provide a room for us to have our fun quiz and also our sing sing . The food is lovely and the whole package is very good value . Well done to everyone in the Arklow Bay Hotel.

This is a great hotel that had live entertainment on the night we stayed. Ticket prices for Mack Fleetwood were great and it was very convenient staying at the hotel. Breakfast was great with a lot of variety. Also walking distance to town if you want to go but everything on site including gym and swimming pool. Lovely walks around the hotel lake to the seafront. Outside bar in summer. Newspapers available in reception .

Nice location. A bit slow on the service but no need to rush in Ireland.

Staff were fantastic and our room over looking the bay was perfect. Will definitely return, thanks for everything 😉

My wife and I booked a table for two for an evening meal. It was a last minute booking, however the meal was delicious and the standard of service provided by Stephen was outstanding. I had the beef, it was mouthwatering and so tender, accompanied by creamy mash and perfectly cooked veg. My wife had the chicken, again cooked to perfection. We will definitely return.
