The Red Bank Restaurant in Carrick-on-shannon

The Red Bank came recommended by a friend and we were not disappointed. They were understanding of our requirement for some flexibility in arrival time ‘cos of journey time, and were very welcoming. Our server was local, knowledgable and willing to give helpful suggestions. The food & wine menus were long but not excessively. We had the special main, a chicken dish, shared a desert and a bottle of wine, which were cooked and served to perfection. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to The Red Bank and recommend it strongly. As an important aside the ambiance was relaxed and efficient, while the facilities were spotless. One small gripe, on arrival we were seated at a table near a door - the least desirable one in the dining room.

They served 18 of us after Carrick Camino - no problem - service and food was exceptional. Looking forward to going back.

Went in on a busy Saturday evening ,staff were very friendly and the cocktails were sublime, with a special thanks to Paddy who was a fountain of knowledge about mixology and the art of cocktail making, as he took the time to explain the thought process behind the unique combinations of flavours of some of the signature cocktails, the steak was decent as well.

I enjoyed my experience at the red bank,food was great,service was excellent and pats cocktails were very delicious will be back.

We wanted a special space to enjoy our last evening as a family in town and chose the Red Bank for its reviews and excellent location . We were impressed by the professional and extremely considerate waitstaff and over the top full flavors across the board on the dishes we chose. Highly recommend this growing destination as they are surely on the way up!

Food is delicious especially the braised beef tender and juicy.

My family and I went to the red bank recently for a family meal to celebrate a few occasions - my parent birthdays and my leaving party. The service was excellent and the food was delicious! The cocktails were even better!! The staff were very attentive and even brought out birthday plates for my parents and a special Bon Voyage plate for me which really added to the occasion. Overall we had a lovely evening and will definitely be back - thank you !!

Recently dined at The Red Bank again with a group of friends, the food was amazing as was the service, a special mention to Catherine who looked after our table - thank you 😊 The cocktails are fab too, can’t wait to return again soon. Keep up the great work. Beautiful building.

Need big renovation. Very ugly colours of walls and 1 very small mirror. Expensive, food very good but not that good for this price.

Happened to stop by while driving through and was the best food we had on our whole Ireland trip so far. Very friendly staff and beautiful food, both in presentation and taste.
