The Red Bank Restaurant in Carrick-on-shannon

Really tasty food with huge amounts of flavours. Nice atmosphere and lovely waiting staff . The only improvement I would suggest is to serve better quality chips as that was the oby thing I didn’t like

I went to the Red Bank for my birthday with my wife and daughter, we had their steak, a cocktail and barbecue chicken wings as a starter. As far as fine dining I think this is one of the closest you will find in Carrick-On-Shannon and Leitrim as a county, the service was top notch and they had a child chair for my daughter who is a toddler. The steak was great and the plating and presentation was very good, only downside was some part of my steak was a bit chewy. Their cocktails are to die for, myself and the Mrs had two different cocktails and we were impressed, the chicken wings came with a barbecue sauce and some infusion dressing, it was a winner for me. Overall 4/5 Stars. Great experience and value for money.

We arrived at the restaurant before our time and was seated with no problem, we were taken into the bar area which is a lovely setting and quieter than the main room, which was very much appreciated. I had the carrot fritters to start and my wife had scallops with king prawns and black pudding, they were amazing. For mains I had the duck and my wife had the specials venison and both were divine, cooked to perfection, just how we like it. And of course we had to finish off with a crumble and lemon pudding, again outstanding and now we're fit to burst. We of course had 2 cocktails each and they were like having a holiday in a glass. The service was outstanding given to us by Nicola and Nellie, thank you so much for making our evening extra special, it truly was an amazing night, I'm sorry my pictures just doesn't do it justice.

Got to visit the Red Bank again last weekend, food amazing as always, scallop starter is deliciously presented, service is always excellent and they were so accommodating with some changes to our group.

Had a large family meal to celebrate a birthday. Food was lovely and service was quick! Ellie (I hope I remembered correctly) was so helpful and really nice. We wanted for nothing as she was always near hand to meet our needs.

Great restaurant. Service was excellent. Some of the best food I've ever tasted in any restaurant in any country. I feel my companions all felt the same. Definitely be back on next meal out. Can't recommend highly enough. Thank you for a wonderful evening and compliments to the chef.

A beautiful old world venue ! Food off the scale in terms of a taste sensation, the lovely lady looking after us I have forgotten her name but one of her parents is French she literally went well and above beyond in making my birthday so special. Al round lovely evening cannot recommend enough! Thank you all at red bank and we most definitely will return !

Lovely food, service, wine in a quaint and comfortable setting. Couldn't get a reservation earlier in the evening in any of our preferred restaurants. Took our 3 kids here on a later than ideal time, but everything was brilliant! Kids were full and very satisfied, adults were more than satisfied! The food is top notch.

The Red Bank came recommended by a friend and we were not disappointed. They were understanding of our requirement for some flexibility in arrival time ‘cos of journey time, and were very welcoming. Our server was local, knowledgable and willing to give helpful suggestions. The food & wine menus were long but not excessively. We had the special main, a chicken dish, shared a desert and a bottle of wine, which were cooked and served to perfection. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to The Red Bank and recommend it strongly. As an important aside the ambiance was relaxed and efficient, while the facilities were spotless. One small gripe, on arrival we were seated at a table near a door - the least desirable one in the dining room.

They served 18 of us after Carrick Camino - no problem - service and food was exceptional. Looking forward to going back.
