We spent a week in Belturbet for family and buisness reasons. After having a meal in the seven horseshoes, well, we had 3 more dinners there day after day. I tend to travel quite a bit in Ireland, and I can say without a doubt this has probably the best quality food I have had the good pleasure of having, combined with lovely service , and a great feel. Plates came out hot, food was prepared on the spot to the highest quality, and the open fire lent the place even a better ambiance. Would return without a doubt, and recommend anyone going through Cavan to have a meal there. I guarantee you wont be disappointed.

Popped in for a drink with my wife and daughter. Thought we would then eat there at short but had no reservation. Francis was very helpful and accommodating. The food and service were excellent. Highly recommended.

We had one of the best meals out at the Horseshoes, ever. The food was incredible, and the staff were amazing and very accommodating. I couldn't recommend it highly enough. 10/10

26/12/2025: Like many, I stopped in here for food following the Moylussa hike. The food was absolutely delicious. Try the lamb. The gravy was amazing. Great spot for food or drink. Highly recommended.
09/12/2025: Such an amazing place to have your lunch. Food was delicious and the interior was lovely with all the Christmas decorations. Service was speedy and very friendly staff. Waitress asked if everything was good a couple of times and made sure we were all happy with our food. She even offered to take a photograph of us, as we tried to make selfies in this stunning restaurant.

24/12/2025: Well on a really wet and miserable Sunday. I was actually surprised in December this place was open .Well we parked up and lots off car's to my surprise. First time here .Absolutely fantastic shop café and lots to offer from home where to gift sets for Christmas to much choice .now I'm not a tourist I live in Co kerry abit pricey for my budget but if you have the time to actually look around which I did came away with a lovely jumper at a great price. Upstairs has a great café unfortunately due to rather wet conditions lots off buckets cause off leaks in the roof .but we had soup 🍲 amazing 👏 and on a good day the view's are just amazing I shall be back .very Friendly.
