After reading some positive reviews of The Shack we decided to call there on Friday evening for food and drinks but disappointingly food finished at 4pm.
We were however so impressed with the warm welcome , lovely atmosphere and beautifully presented bar we decided to stay for a drink.
The bar is spotless , staff were very friendly and there was a lovely buzz.
It’s deserving of its number 1 pub in Athlone accolade
We went for a lunch on Sunday.
Staff was lovely , and friendly. Checking how things were going without being too present.
The food was Absolutely Lovely.
We had fish and chips and a cod fillet with bacon and mash potatoes.
Portions are great and the fish was well cooked and everything was so tasty
Food and atmosphere are perfect!
Can't wait to go back again.
19/09/2024: family dinner great gathering special occasion. been here several times lovely food, inexpensive and great staff. next time we are home visiting will be back. gorgeous
