The Silver Oak in Athlone

Had a take out as the restaurant was close to closing. Pri es reasonable. Food was excellent. Had the chicken biriyani and chicken chilli masala with chapati. Best curry sauce to accompany the biriyani I've had in a long time - usually watery but this was thick and delicious. Biriyani cooked well. Chili chicken was spicy and went well with the chapati. All in all a good Indian meal. Recommended!

Stopped here for a curry last week. Service was great. Had a few dishes and all were tasty! Cobra on draft which is always a bonus!

Have regularly got takeaway from here and the food is good. However, had a strange interaction with the delivery driver today. After dropping off the food, he ran over to a neighbour's house and started pulling roses off of their rose bush and then, with a bunch in hand, ran back to his car. Has turned me off this restaurant completely.

Food has improved vastly since our last order. Good food, service and value for money. 👌

We had the most delicious takeaway from the Silver oak. It was a meal for 4, and it was an amazing array of dishes, all equally delicious and tasty. We were 5 people and we couldn’t finish it all, and it was such good value. Would highly recommend this place. So good!

The food is really close to what authentic Indian can be and so is the service. Jumbo Prawn Butterfly was a hit. Tandoori fish was pretty good too. Only some of the staff are friendly. I think they should at least try to change the table cloths between customers or get disposable ones. The cutlery needs to be changed too.

We often get takeaway from The Silver Oak but last night was our first time to eat at the restaurant. The takeaway is always great but eating the food fresh was on another level. It was delicious, so much so that the takeaway experience will never be the same again! Everything was great, the service the atmosphere and especially the food. Also we noticed a lot of Indian people eating here which in my book is always a good sign!

Top quality indian food in a calm, welcoming environment. What more could you ask for? The peshwari naan tasted incredibly fresh, and the egg-fried rice was excellent
