The Snug in Bantry legal town

The mussels and prawn risotto consisted of clam shells, clams (not mussels), 4 tiny prawns and rice with a large amount of butter. Not worth the €23 by any stretch of the imagination.

Excellent service with amazing friendly and polite staff. Food is amazing. Highly recommend the beef stew. great portion for a great price.

I like The Snug. It's friendly and welcoming and the food is usually pretty good. I hadn't been in for a good while and in the interim a huge TV has been installed directly above some of the bar seating which is unfortunate. It's very intrusive. Such a shame.

Located on the main street in Bantry. Parking close by on the street. Was there at lunch time and very busy. Lucky to get a table. Nice food on the menu, and staff lovely. Worth a visit.

Lovely bar with restaurant also. Friendly staff and great food, starters are big so recommend sharing! It’s very near the Maritime Hotel if one is staying there. The restaurant was very busy so recommend booking to avoid disappointment

My partner had the garlic mushrooms to start, definitely bought in, but tasty. He had the pork belly for main, it was good but not great, no crispy crackling and very little fat but tasty nonetheless, also the potatoes on his plate were stuck to it so possibly microwaved. I had the deep fried Brie, again bought in but presented well and tasty. Lobster Thermidor was on the menu but I asked if I could have the lobster plain and a dish of melted butter. This was delivered and was absolutely divine! I think ordering off menu probably means the dish is fresh and pays off. Service was great, lovely staff.
