It's one of my favorite pubs in Athlone. I love an interior here and how the stuff are friendly. Also, it's a comfortable and good place to spend some evening winter weekend with a fireplace.

Pizzeria Il Basilico

02/03/2025: I’ve been going to Il Basilico for years - it is by far the best pizza in Ireland! The ingredients are so fresh and the pizza is always 10/10. Also the chips are proper chips, not frozen ones like most of the other pizza places! The staff are always lovely too and the service is so fast! I will continue to travel here as it really is such an amazing pizza!! Highly recommend!
02/03/2025: Super fresh, cooked to perfection. The chips are a cheat code - propper chipper chips -- along with top class pizza. Best of a chipper and pizza takeaway together. Can't go wrong.
